how does the radar work exactly? what is the approximate range? don't see any certs (or vehicles) that increase radar range. it kind of ruins the idea of an ambush, doesn't it? i vote for additional "radar jamming" cert.

Okay, here's the deal, as I understand it (and I could be wrong, and it could have changed):
All friendly always show up on your radar.
Any hostile vehicle inside a friendly Sphere Of Influence (SOI) is on your radar (don't know what the radar range is though). Hostile people running (not walking, just running) near a motion detector show up on radar. If you have the hearing booster implant (that's not the name), running people show up on radar. If THEY have a silent run implant (again, not sure of the correct name) they don't.
An Advanced Moblie Station (AMS) cloaks when it deploys, and disappears from hostile radar.
Mosquito's have sensor gear in them that puts all hostiles on radar within some radius, people and vehicles alike, just like the Shrike in T2.
It's not known how an infiltration suit will affect things. Probably will show up on a motion detector... may not show up on a Mosquito's sensors.
I think that's everything.

woo that's a lot of info!
maybe it could be added to the FAQ?

I also believe that the mosquito has limited radar avoidance capabilities.

I am fairly certain Stealths can be detected by motion detectors.

they need too put lakes on radar, then they can't sneak up and eat airplanes.

So if we are all in some remote location and we're walking, no one will see any enemies on their radar??

You will see most all of the vehicles on radar, but not ground troops. I am not sure about MAXs

I'm not even sure enemy vehicles will show up until they're detected by something. Bases have their own radar, but what about people in hostile turf? Aside from a friendly Mosquito, are they just screwed, or will getting a visual be enough?

I think it was a developer that mentioned about the vehicles showing up on radar but not ground troops.
(I believe the developer was responding to a question about whether ground troops would be at all useful when compared to vehicles).

does anyone remember what is needed to see stealthed infiltrators?
1. a cert
2. an equipment
3. an implant

An implant will allow you to see "cloaked" units, but impares your long range vision for the attribute to see the sneaky bastards.

okay correct me if im wrong sub- i mean hamma but isnt the radar based on sound hence why you can always hear vehicles (the engine) and y the implant is called 'silent run' (i think) maybe thats why the wraith is 'cloaked' because it has a cloaking device and a v v quiet engine. any thorts hamma?
ps i wanna b a soldier!!!waaaah!:tear: :tear: :tear:
can u c how many posts i have please?
