Command Rank Idea "Command Circuit"

I have been toying with this idea in my mind for several weeks now. However I realised there must be interest in this idea before it can become a reality. Otherwise there is no point in starting it at all.

Would commanders from each server like a forum where they can discuss strategy? Here is how I envision it would work:

I create subforums of each server for TR/NC/VS - these forums are passworded so that only certain folks can access them.

Here is where the trick comes in, I would need one CR5 from each empire to take a "command" role and give out the password as needed. They would have to verify that this person is a CR5 IN GAME and give them access. Why wont Hamma do it you ask? Because its too much overhead for me to handle on my own. Not to mention I only have a TR account and cannot verify other empires.

So thats it, would folks be interested? Suggestions?

ya i aggree....on markov there are a few spamming NC CR5 idiots... but i assure you that i am not one of those people...and yes i know strategy :D

Thats probably because they all just think it up on the fly, they never have a chance to discuss stuff. Think about this stuff before you post and insult every CR5 in existance :p

I think its a great idea...it could really help out on teh battlefield and maybe cut down on the flames some cr5's get for trying to command :rolleyes: . Only problem is to keep the forums "private". There are a lot of people here, and im sure somone may "slip" the password out accidently....other than that its a great idea...ill talk to some of the cr5's in my outfit to post on here ;)

The CR5s on each server deffinetly need to get on the same page... Konried has gotten some new CR5s recently and they handle each situation differently.

There is no way to verify the person is who they say they are.. thats why I figured confirming it in game is the best method :\

very good idea. i like it. but, what is the CR cut-off, if there is one. letting in all CR1 and above would be way too much. i know alot of people who have CR1 onyl because they want to have a CR but they don't care about really commanding. I'm CR3, which isn't bad but i do my fare share of commanding and I feel that i could do well with leading and writing out tactics on the board if possible.

pretty i want to know if there is a cut off or not.

I love the idea. The only problem is there's no way to verify that someone doesn't have multiple accounts and if this was effective at all I'm sure there would be people who would maintain an old CR5 in order to use the forums.

Even with that I'm all for giving it a try :)

isnt it impossible for You to stop peopel from jsut using 2 accounts or a friends account to get the password though?

Catching someone using 2 accounts is easy, however I think I have thought of another way rather than PW

There is no way you could know if someone had two PS accounts though. I'm not talking about people with multiple PSU accounts, they wouldn't need multiple PSU accounts. I'm talking people with multiple Planetside accounts where they have at least one CR5 and another character of another empire on the same server.

I can think of at least one off the top of my head :p But like I said even though it's never going to be completely secure it sure couldn't hurt anything and would most likely be a good assest for the player base :)

Just as a heads up for everyone here that is TR on Emerald, Hedron has already started something like this for any TR CR5's or CR4's on Emerald. He has exclusive forums on our outfit website www.kaaos.com (http://www.kaaos.com) I know most of you hate the official boards, but he's only posted this in the emerald board on the official site so far. So I thought I'd pass this along to any TR CR4's or 5's who wanted in. Yes, Ash has already joined as well.

Just register an account and request access on the CR Boards Access Request Board. Then, send Hedron a tell in game so he can verify that you are really a CR4 or 5 and he'll give you access. Also, all CR4's have read only access to the CR5 boards, so they can be on the same page.

We have about 30 or so CR5's and 15 CR4's. I KNOW there's more than that out there, so I'm posting this on PSU as well.

If you have noticed the TR getting the daily win more often, this is one of the primary reasons why. Our leaders are finally working together.

So any TR CR4's or CR5's on Emerald, I encourage you to come join these private forums please. I don't think anything like this has been implemented for other empires or other servers. This has worked well so far and I encourage other empires to do the same, and PSU is a good place to do it at.
