I have a great idea for game balance in the expansion. they could make all the new weapons take slightly longer to put on (accordingly)because you cant just put them in your hand, you have to slide them on and off. This could add a bonus to staying with the old weapons and would add a nice feel to the new techs. It would go nicely with the module system, and if done right could add alot of character to the new stuff. And possibly offset any possible issues of them overpowering the old stuff in ways besides just damage issues etc,which from what i can tell needs some serious help. IMO. If you like this idea could you post it in hte official forums or somewhere where the devs might read it. If it is a problem maybe it will give htem more ideas of how to fix game issues. ( if its needed)

What i mean by that is focusing on a general or general game feel by realy useing the other element that are supposed to exist in a game like this can almost totaly remove the need for tweaking and damage issue etc. The more little things you do right like that in a game like this the less game issues you have to deal with, and it adds more realism. Consider character and sense of realism your best freinds! It can make this one of the best games that ever were. This game is half based on rpg elements and those are the most important parts. This is a damn old game design and ive been waiting almost 10 years for it to finaly exist somewhere your notdestroying it now. 8\ ( I repeat the damage and fps part of this game are the least important part of making this fun for both type of gamer. You have to guide them completly with the other details and recreate the fps part through them!)

You need to have a reason wy it would take longer to equip.
Like one that reflects the story line.

I was saying they could take longer because they look like they are all going to be alot more powerful considering all the splash and burn damage and since they fixed the thing that stops the damage from overlapping.
Only if they ended up being that much more powerful than the other weapons.
And if they have a problem balancing them if there not they could make them stronger and add little things like that and make them more seige weapons but useful pretty much anywhere.
