I use popup stopper by panicware. There are many other freeware popup stoppers as well so just experiment.

Google toolbar :D

Yup.

You get google in every brower, popup blocker, and TADA! AutoFill. It autocompletes fields of forms you fill out. It owns :)

There is adware that disguises itself as Google Taskbar, so I don't use it. I use Netscape 7.1. Tabbed browsing, pop-up blocker, and the cool silver look for AIM did it for me.

And also the lack of security flaws.

Says who Aztec? Are you using an old version of Adaware, it might see the google toolbar by the fact that it is an IE toolbar and assume it is spyware.

Just turn off the option that it sends rating info back to Google (which is an option clearly explained during install) and it never sends anything back.

Or you could use Netscape, it is really much nicer having 20% of sites not display correctly, taking 30 seconds to launch, and having some games not work. (Horizons for example uses activeX/asp controls)

What bugs me is that the google toolbar doesn't block google's popups.

Uhh what Google are you using?? Popups on Google? You must be infected with adware because Google has none :o

Yeah there is some adware that hijacks your browser and looks exactly like google except is uses popups too.

Yeah you have some software on your computer to make the popups... The google toolbar can not do anything about popups that are not caused by web sites.

Thats what I thought too.
I've only gotten the popup from Google's site once. Maybe it was a fluke or I was drunk or something.
I check my computer for adware/spyware about once a week, was clean last time but I'll check again.

Or if you choose not to like google then you can use Mozilla. It has a popup blocker built in. It's free too check it out at mozilla.org
