I dunno, not 50 cal. If somehow you could fit a 50 cal bullet into a desert eagle and fire it, the kickback would tear your hand off.

Go watch the matrix, the agents have desert eagles, though it won't really say what ammo type it is, you'll see them when neo stops them at the end of the first matrix.
