eh it was good. the problem is they used live, real combat, which is harder to film. Malvision stages all of the most recent movies out, which make it more entertaining overall. but the SOE seemed what PlanetSide is really like. If I wanted to show someone what planetside is like I'd so them that, b/c Shadows of Auraxis is too cool and awesome to be the real game (all those vanu maxes jumping over the wall, come on, when was the last time you saw THAT in-game?).

anyway, Im gonna go watch the SOR trailer again.


btw, in the scene with all those nc in the basement shooting, Im the one who stands up halfway through. :D

If you're CR5 that doesnt mean anything except you play alot. the devs said they're looking for people who have participated in playtests and post thoughts (not rants) about it on the forums.

BZZZZT! Try again. It shows a Jackhammer shooting at Mosquito, along with another person shooting at it and also a MAX of some sort (hard to tell what kind, looks like a scattercannon) that appears to have been tracking it.

Good attempt on trying to insert a balance bitch on the thread though.

The first screenshot reminded me of the opening scene to Highlander and the second one with the new weapons looked awesome.

(However, core combat weapons looks like they are worse than the lasher as far as visual lag goes. :( )

2-movie) looks like SOE is making movies of the same thing miir used in his first movies. Plus they probally Took out 1 min to edit it.

The movie actually wasn't all that bad. It shows what Planetside is actually like more than the SG movies or the Miir movies. No offense meant to Miir's videos or anything, personally I think they rock. You have to admit they don't always replicate the look and feel of actually playing Planetside though.

Yes. But hey would be misleading to potential players, which is generally who marketing videos is aimed at. When they see videos where people use vehicle formations work in close knit squads etc and they buy the game to find the majority of people running around like chickens with their heads cut off they might be a bit miffed :p

Jet piolet, Planetside, Xen of Onslaught ect, ect, any and all are better that this crap.

I think there is potential in the game to be played like the SOA trailer. I mean really nothing in that trailer was unrealistic. I've heard rumours of all MAX or all Infiltrator squads running around already. There are a couple larger outfits like XoO and SG that really try to have organization that way.
