Have 1 Cert Point

So currently I have 1 cert point sitting around. You know as well as I do that there is nothing you can do with that point.

I think I should be able to buy like, a hat or something, perhaps some rims for my Harasser?

Yes, a Hat. However, no ORDINARY hat would suffice! You would need a bladed hat, and go oddjob on people.

Somebody suggested (on the OF) being able to use singular cert points to buy modular upgrades for your inventory, similar to how the U.S. Army's main backpack (the ALICE system) consists of one main pack (central Inventory) and modular sub-containers you can add on, if the mission need be.

I liked that idea a lot.

Yeah I have a cert point laying around as well but if you ever want to try out a 3 cert thing and you can only afford to lose a 2 cert thing, that extra cert comes into use. But I want to buy cr5 with one cert, it'll never happen though. 2nd best thing would be a sign that says kick me on my costume.

Would be interesting if you could spend a cert point to be able to cutsomize your favorate ride. Say you want to give your Magrider a spiffy new paintjob using the Vanu colors, just not in the way it is now. Like give your Mag. purple flames on a green background, or something. Or maybe be able to have writing all over your vehicle, like "I brake for Vanguards."

You are talking out of your chuff, mate. Soldiers have always personalised their equipment, from Romans carving taunts on Catapult ammo to WWII pilots painting mascots on their planes and sick jokes on their bombs. Many of the tanks on both sides in the two gulf wars had the same sort of thing. I see no reason why we can't have it in the game, and it would sure beat those crappy Outfit decals. Great idea.

Customizing your tank would be cool, but that seems a little too out of line, especially if you're allowed to write whatever you wish. :doh:
I imagine, just for fun, and only at BR 20, to be able to cert in the opposing forces knives. :p
Or, just have a metal baseball bat, with the words, 'Runs best on Intel'. It would do 1 hit point of damage (for the fun factor), and it would be fun to swing around when you are protecting the CC. Also, BR 20s from each side could have a duel. :p

bryant gave me a idea. There should be a catalog of abilities for Commanders and then when u go up each CR u get a point. That way u wont most likely have two commanders that are exactly the same.

1 cert point, grenade belt. Gives another hotkeyed weapons slot that can fit a grenade, plus can hold 5 in the belt like additional inventory, but grenades only. Can be used by cloakers. Once aquired it is permanent on all armour types bar standard. I always wanted this.

Because you are not always left with 1 cert. Sure, the majority would have it, but those without it would complain that they have to go through their inventory to pull out a grenade. Sure, you don't need the grenade belt, but we'll see some whining on the boards. I see no problem with the system now.

Wraith is awesome for getting to point A to point B fast and unseen... I know you are saying skeeter, but a skeeter is going to get shot down fast and there is no way you can park it without it being stolen or blown up in 2 minutes.

I use my wraith as extra quick storage too. I'm a ninja engineer and i run out of ACE's fast. Throw a bunch of ACE's in the trunk and hide the wraith off to the side, you got yourself a nice private storage locker! Very handy for mining bridges.

Or how 'bout using that cert point for additional 'taunt' macros? Like with this cert point you count /flip people off? or /pants some one? or /moon a passing tank. THAT would kick ASS!

How about a flag for 1 cert? It would have your Empire+outfit symbol on it. You could carry it in your rifle slot and plant it down on stuff you just captured so you could feel cool. Maybe you could melee with it too?
