TR and VS Counter-Invasion, 31 OCT

The NC are openly planning a massive raid on October 31st. Imagine if you will, five hundred Jackhammer wh0res running around under a unified command leadership.

So far there have been very few suggestions from either of the two opposing empires to stop them.

So here I am, volunteering to take the initiative and start a pool of resources to organize a counter-offensive. I'm not going to spend my 31st trick-or-treating, as I don't have kids and I am an adult. I also don't plan on going out, so that leaves Planetside.

As the topic suggests, I propose a temporary Alliance between Terran Republic and Vanu Sovereignty forces. The idea has come up before, and I'm sure this won't be the last time it comes up. But I want this time to work.

Interested Vanu outfit representatives can send me an email at the email below. Please put something in the subject regarding the temporary alliance. I hope to hear from some interested parties.

I think that if the TR and VS took the open challenge, it would make the night even better. I know I don't want to steamroll continents with little or no resistance.

What I find sad and pathetic is the amount of negative responses from both TR and VS empires.

Think about it. One empire planning a raid. Obviously we all have our opinions on what empire has the most powerful weapons... but ask most TR and most Vanu who it is, and they'll say "NC and their Jackhammer". You get an organized horde of Jackhammers and a few GOOD commanders (not necessarily CR5 either haha), and you've got a recipe for ass-whipping.

So you can run around Sanctuary screaming for reinforcements all night, while you're still losing ground... or you can propose a counter-offensive. And what makes a counter-offensive better? More people, more outfits.

I'm not saying have Vanu tanks rolling alongside Prowlers- that's unrealistic and it would never work, period. Some ignorant dillhole would ruin it by taking a potshot and the whole plan is scrapped.

But. You can have empires working together by keeping their units on specific places, and keeping the allies aware of your location so your sectors of fire don't become crossed. Apparently though, the few ignorant dolts spouting off saying it's a dumb idea haven't figured that out yet.

Dude, I think you better take a step back and realize what you're talking about here.

First of all, I'll admit we have to team up to beat you.

Second of all, I'll tell you why.

Because you overgrown overbuffed jackasses are filled with powergaming kiddies and fat lazy former EQ addicts who want to try 24-7 gaming with a FPS. So as a result the NC now have more people, and the organizers of the raid listed several of the most-populous outfits. While I give them credit for that move, I do not give YOU any credit for intelligence. "Better commanders or something" to organize our forces won't do anything in the face of a Zerg with Jackhammers.

A few hundred TR with crappy suck-ass weapons CANNOT defeat over a thousand of you shitbags with your Jackasshammer face to face. So yes, we're going to team up and we're going to wipe the planet with you.

Heh yesterday as of 2am est id say the NC didnt need an open invasion of 1000 jackhammers we already had most of auraxis face it the NC owns just because well we are us and you are you, and if we did have an organized attack set on one date theres no way an alliance could stop us either

So how come NC are so overpowering? And wouldn't the smallest tank or Air vehicle overpower anyone with a jackhammer?

Also.. most people will not complain that their own weapons are too powerful.
And if everything is meant to be equal then they would give everyone the same weapons. Truth is, every empire specific weapon is unique in their own way.

Another truth is.. EVERYONE wins and loses. If any empire "owned" anyone, then they would lock ALL continents ALL the time making this game unfulfilling.

I don't mean to bump an old thread or arise old arguements but I just have to speak my mind on this one. If a TR wishes to make some kind of "Peace treaty" with the VS then that TR is a pretty big coward. Not thinking that he could beat the enemy on his own, with his own empire. I hope something like this never happens, and if it did, it would just be the end to Planetside.

This thread and the very concept has been completely turned around. I specifically said in numerous posts that the very idea that I had was this:

A temporary cease-fire between Vanu and TR *FOR THAT NIGHT ONLY*. There was never a plan to "team up" with Vanu. The entire plan was to get in contact with Vanu outfit commanders and REQUEST that they refrain from attacking TR troops and TR targets, and focus strictly on the NC. Everyone is aware how much of a pain it is when you're fighting and you see the third empire back-hacking you. Our goal was to stop and defeat the NC for their well-announced invasion. Reckoning with unknown variables is a constant in warfare, and only the stupidest and most inept of commanders does not ensure that he has identified, planned for, and removed as many unknowns as possible. A third empire's actions is a huge unknown.

I also said in numerous posts that in hindsight, this was a bad idea- however, I also said the reason it was a bad idea was because certain "committees" appear to be afraid of forward-thinking logically-minded individuals. It was not well-received, and the people who DID receive it well are players with little pull in their outfit. I also proposed it to the Emerald Alliance and we as a whole discussed the idea and decided not to bother bringing the idea to fruition. This, after a giant flame war with a few of the members of the above-mentioned "certain committees" on unofficial forums.

You can continue to think I am a coward, that's fine. My in-game battle record and the record of my outfit and the alliance we support speaks for itself. It doesn't bother me, because it's obvious that you know nothing about me, be it the in-game me or the real-life me. That's understandable, since there's a high probability that our paths never cross. And I totally respect your opinion and have not passed judgement on you, thanks for doing the same.
