This is fine and well.. except that by doing that, and if you are NOT in beta, you will have to repatch your game.

Sorry.. but EVERYONE got the planetsidebeta.exe, but only those notified by e-mail got permission to play.

The effect would be similar to clicking on planetsidetest.exe without making a copy of the folder to another place on your computer.

Aye, it seems in the outfit I am in, the people who were able to access BETA but never recieved an e-mail actually had a setting unticked in the account options that stopped SOE notifications.

Those who had it unchecked didn't receive anything, those who received the e-mails had it checked, that may be why some people never received the e-mail

I know you need to copy it, because it tells you. When you first click it it gives you some shit about how you gotta copy the directory to a seperate folder first.

I think if u try to play beta and login with ur account then it may not work, because only certain accounts will have permission to play. And then maybe u wont have a BR20 character, but im gonna test this out with my friend who wants beta, i however am legally in.

U can have the beta exe, but cant play it, u need an account with beta enabled on it, i tried this at my friends and his account wouldnt work for beta, but mine did on his comp
