I've noticed a slight increase in frames and so have others in my outfit (one didn't though).

The new drivers apparently have had a really negative affect on Battlefield1942 and Desert Combat. Yeah I know its off topic but I just read about it recently.

Wow do you have a link? I'll have to try BF1942 when i get home. I didnt notice any serious improvement on PS, didnt pay alot of attention when i played though, but Savage seemed to run a bit smoother.

Enjoying the quality loss?(That's how the 52 drivers increased FPS)

People are so hellbent on getting 100+ FPS in all games (even though your eye cant even tell the difference) that the quality loss is probably not a problem.

after 30 or so its all just the same, a 30 fps in every game and i'd be happy

I always figured the reason to get 100+ fps was so that when you start loosing frames because of an increase in activity FPS wouldn't drop below what your eye can see.

What drinky said. The human eye can't perceive more than a 90fps.

I'll take the hit on quality if it means my fps in a huge battle jumps up a little bit.

The one thing I really noticed with these drivers is I can now fly freely through the swamp trees on Hossin without getting the 1 second hang that used to cause me to crash.

Are the improvements only for FX cards, or the whole line of nVidia products?
I have a Ti4200 128mb, wondering if I should upgrade...

Are the improvements only for FX cards or will GF4's get better performance too?

good driver so far, i've gotten higher average FPS, and i don't even notice the quality loss to be honest (fx 5200/128mb here).

You are retarded if you think you cant tell between 30 and 60fps.

People say that because movies are 24 or 30 fps but film has motion blur which helps it look smoother.

Games do not blur objects so you can reall tell 15, 30 60 and up to 80-90 fps for some people.

If I get 60ish, I am happy, but the point of gettin 100-200 is so that you have headroom when the game gets busy and you have power to spare - so you only drop to 40-60 fps.

Are you saying this after changing the setting on the cards to better performance on your own?
