how would i put in an avatar i have saved to my comp.

Make sure the avatar mits the size requirements, and dimension requirements listed under PSU's Avatar Rules. (65x65). Then go to User CP -> Options -> Avatar. Upload/link the avatar from there and presto! Also note you need 25 posts to have an avatar.
