If you think MMOGs suck then why did you waste Hamma's bandwidth posting anything rather than doing this on the official forums? And BTW, you're use of your middle fingers proves what a rebel you are! LOOK!!!! HE'S USING HIS FINGERS!!! OH, NO!!!!
No one cares at all about your bad beard and stupid remarks. Sandtaco is 100% right.

So because someone wrote it down and put it on a site means it's true? Does posting something online somehow give a person the God-like ability to know-all, see-all, and speak for everyone, rather than simply speak for himself, and with a narrow and grossly ignorant viewpoint as well?
The guy who wrote that is an idiot, plain and simple. He's is just as informed and insightful as the players he's condeming. I really feel sorry for anyone who thinks that guy knows his ass from his elbow when it comes to the politics and internal workings of an MMOG company.
*EDIT*
Oh, and Revolution, make sure you read my post several times, so you understand that eating up everything someone shovels in front of your face which contains such brilliant words as "fuck", shit", and "breasts" tends to make you look like a fool.

Actually, I just read that entire rant..
But first, Revolution, if you get banned for that idiotic finger post.. good riddance, we dont need nor do we desire such.
Now, back to the rant...(note to the Forum Nazi of this particular forum.. kill his pic, leave the link please)...
I am a veteran of many a MMORPG, and MANY an MMORPG board. Both pre and post launch. Let me tell ya something, the ranter nailed it on the head in most respects when talking about posters. He quite accuratly described a 70%+ of all posters. Reading that brought me back to the spring of last year when I was very active on the SWG boards (Name posting was Billard if anyone here was a SWG forum poster)
He described, if rather crudely, the different groups posting! And ya know what? He's mostly right. Star Wars Galaxies: Galactic Civil War was the original title of that game. And it originally was going to be a PvP heavy game with Imperials fighting Rebels with the Gangster Hutts lurking aorund all and the nuetrals hiding out on a few safe planets... Sadly, over the course of 3 months, the whinning reached an incessant picth fervor and the game was effectivly nuetered.
What was going to be a great cimulation of the REAL Star Wars universe, effectivly became a "friendly and NICE" game built around the EQ model with some token PvP in there in attempt to satisfy the massive whining. Thus we have Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided. A game lacking an useful way to re-enact what in the movies, was a heroic and moving struggle between teh forces of good and evil. BAsically, because of all the things the rant on this link therein contatined. I for one, may never play SW:Galaxies because of what they did to the game.
Okay, enough ranting.

Don't tell me you honestly believe that. It's pure, refined forum-reader nonsense at its worst. Do you honestly and truly believe that developers are so daft that they listen to a tiny, insignificant minority like the people on their forums when it comes to crucial game design decisions? Come on, man. These people are usually smart, and usually skilled. What kind of a person do you take them for, that they'd actually let people on their forums make decisions for them -- and for what, to make them be quiet? As if their volume really mattered.
The reason SW:G went carebear is because that's what the average MMORPG gamer, not the more hardcore forum veterans, want. That's why UO divided their world into Felucca and Trammel. And that's why any game which will ever come out cannot be mostly "hardcore" PvP and hope to be successful. What about Shadowbane? Doomed to mediocrity. It'll have a relatively small but loyal player base, if it can solve its problems. World of Warcraft? They're putting as much work into their PvE system as they are their PvP system -- perhaps more. The average player doesn't want to have games which have PvP as their main attraction. Why do you think The Sims is such a big hit, and The Sims Online doing well also? PKs and hardcore PvP'ers will preach to you how invaluable they are to games, but no game which ever wants to rise above the medium can ever do so unless it has a good PvE environment, because that is precisely what many players are looking for.
That MMOG article is only accurate in its classification of some forum whiners, but that person obviously has a very limited understanding of how these games actually work.

I believe people will actually feel a litte bit dumber after reading such a post! It is obvious that the person who wrote the article is an adolescent and is just a little pissy because his parents cut out his allowance, which is why he can no longer afford to pay-to- play. He might have to actually go out and find a job!!

I got a laugh from the satire.
Gaming to me is a way to enjoy myself and escape the real life for a little while. I don't take it serious enough to spend my time going over the myriad personalities mixed into the make-up of any one genre of games, then producing a lengthy post on all the people involved.
But I did laugh...
You guys really read that whole thing??
When someone complains about why something sucks but isn't mature enough to not use fuck every 5 words it's not worth reading.

On the other hand, if you do improve graphics, youll find thousands of different fuckheads (and, bizarrely, some of the same ones) whining that they can no longer play your game on their overclocked Atari 2600.

It was suppose to be a satire reading , lol that was my whole point! I am glad it gave a couple people a laugh. THAT was the point! But the stereotyping of players is pretty much correct though.

What we need now is that article about all the different forum personalities. So we can catagorize this guy
Or we could just get rid of him. :D

Hamma you know that won't help. He's in a category all by himself. We can name that category the "Crack ass "Wtf is wrong with you?" OMG DIE!" category. We can actually put that venoxile guy in a similar category as well. :D
