Is it me or has the number of people spamming nades and rockets increased since the patch? I see a lot of team kills from them now... it seems..

Plasma stacks now, and the Rocklet secondary mode is an insta-kill on any infantry unless you miss two or more shots..

Whenever we're attacking a tower or base, I have one of the two. The splash damage of the rocklet and the stacking damage of thumpers can do serious damage, especially indoors, where it's hard to miss.

I love the rocket rifle and its pretty much a instant kill that is if u hit someone its awsome indoors (e.g tower)

I think more people use them because its not as critical to get a direct hit in a laggy situation.
If your framerate starts to suffer, the thumper and rocklet are the way to go. If you didn't get a direct hit, you still put a hurt on.

The Gauss is the worst weapon in the game for medium assault i find the "best" is the cycler of course :D

I own with guass , its got best long range accuracy (possible to snipe with it), very good in a fire fight. Although the cycler is 2nd best IMO

Dont forget im a NC as well i personally dont know why they call the jack a "noobhammer" and i LOVE the scattercannon upgrade they did
Everyone uses the PlasThumper now since the patch, due to the plasma buff. I settle for hand grenades, though.

I usually prefer the grenades aswell. I did play with it a while tonight though, was pretty fun. The Rocket Rifle is pretty painful. Was able to put up a dang good fight with it tonight. I tried the the thumper on a tower siege. Was working great standing outside and bouncing nades down to the basement level and tearing em up. But I eventually people started running in and catching my yummy hot plasma and stacking grief on me. Now I know how the anchored pounders feel..

The Rocket Rifle > all HA at any range. However it is limited by only having a 6 shot clip, ammo box size, and at close range you have a tendancy to kill yourself.

the Guass needs a slight damage buff and a COF expandature decrease

If they ever buff the Gauss it will be a uber weapon

Gauss is fine if you know how to use it.

The thumper is the only weapon I ever use, though I never use the plasma. The plasma takes a few seconds to kill an enemy, and the frags do instant damage. Frag>Plasma

meh, its all according to the style u use. if u tend to do more 1v1 fights, or face more MAXes/vehicles, then go the frag route. but 4 massive courtyard/indoor battles, plasmas pwn.

hmmm yeah i think im gonna start packing both kinds now, since i seem to do decent with frag grenades outdoors and plasmas rack more grief too...

rocklet rifles are not too great i've only killed one person over 15 days and that was because i nearly killed him but the thing ran out of ammo and i ran into a bunker to reload then finished him. The thumper ain't fun for a real combat weapon because of low refire speed, damage to yourself and the way you have to angle it too not hurt yourself. decimator is alright never done much with it but i have seen people use it very good.

I did several experiments with the thumper and the rocket rifle last night. Personally, I found the rocket rifle to be more user friendly. It seems the autofire feature is a waste. You can fire all 6 rounds semi-automatic fashion nearly as quick as the 2ndy fire mode with much more reliable hits.
1 on 1 at close range I was eatting some folks alive with it. Just aim at the ground around them. Burst damage is enough to kill about any infantry if you keep a full magazine. I got in a habit of reloading regardless of how many unspent rounds I had when time permitted.
Also, using some large rocks as cover I played tag with 2 lightnings, though not at once, and was able to kill both. Rookie lightning drivers tend to get wedged in rocks and trees while shooting.
After it was all over and 466 grief points later. :( An all time high for me. Most of it was from people running in front of me while I was unloading rockets and they'd take one in the back of the head. More was from taking out a Deliverer that had wedged itself into a corner trapping two people. While it was trying to press them against the wall I blew it to pieces and apparently those it was trying to squish.
All in all I found the rocket rifle to be more useful for most situations. The fact that it seems to have no range limiter is a plus.
But, as they say, thats just my opinion.

Thumper simply owns in towers and courtyards. Rocklet has really no use outside except for short range fighting. Inside though, the Rocklet owns Maxes on secondary fire, and owns infantry with primary fire. That with heavy assault owns.
