Infantry, Vehicles, and Towers

After being TK'd a few times just trying to capture one tower by people in vehicles, I was just wondering what everyone thought of these sorts of dilemmas.

Who has priority when it comes to the tower? Should the vehicles stop firing to give way to the infantry so they can capture the tower? Or should infantry just let the vehicles spam for a while?

I think it's best for the vehicles to shellshock the guys in the tower first, for a few minutes, then rush all the infantry inside in waves. Then again, it's fairly hard to get the point across to everyone else with nothing but chat, so my view is that infantry have priority, vehicles are only there for containment and harrasment, Infantry are the ones that take the tower.

When i was in CC beta me and 10 guys where rushing into a TR tower and some freaken friendly Flail shot right into the doorway and killed all 10 of us.

The vehicles should cease fire for the inf, you cant take a CC with a tank.
