Does anyone know where I can get a game card in the UK? Or when SOE are going to get up off their fat asses and sort out some proper payment methods for the UK?
16-26 years olds are all likley to have a Switch Card. Very few will have or want a Credit card.
SOE do not accept Switch/Solo, cheques, Diect Debit, Pay Pal, etc.
Bloody SOE :domotwak:

If I buy the game, I get 30 days free. Do I have to put in credit card details or anything?
Yes, in their greedy, mistrustful fashion they will not allow you to access your free month until you provide proof of payment for the next month.

Thought as much. That's pretty dumb to be honest. If they're going to pull that kind of crap, the CD should only cost 10, rather than the 30 it is at the moment in GAME.
they really:bang:
dont want me:bang:
to buy:bang:
their products:bang:

Like I said, I don't want a credit card. All they do is try to rip you off, and they are a pain to fk about transfering money into. If I get a credit card, it wil bring my number of accounts to 4 O_o
Switch Cards are much simpler and easier to use.

No that wont work.
And credit cards don't rip you off so long as you're not spending money you don't actually have.
Everytime I see the title of this thread I scream mentally in reaction "QUITCHER FUCKING BITCHING!"
Im 16 and I can play, fer crissakes.

They dont sell game cards over there? wtfs?
Id say, try online, and find a site that takes debit/switchthingamajiggers
O_O there is always that visa thing that acts like a credit card but is accually a debit.
It routes the same way as credit, so you can use it anyway a credit card is accepted.
It's cause he's in the UK and they have their own whacky payment methods. The VISA cheque card thing is in the US only, and Canada has Interac cards which are yet another standard. Unfortunately Sony can't accept every possible form of payment, and Credit Cards are about the only internationally accepted standard payment method out there.

My thoughts exactly. odd isnt it that SOE are so narrow minded. They sell the game, but not the cards. Pretty retarded if you ask me, Though game sales will probably be done through a different prublisher.
I've looked online. There are very few sites selling game cards and none accept switch.

Hmm, it appears that sony aren't as dumb as I furst thought. It appears Switch will be converting to Maestro over the next few years, which is a mastercard standard. My Switch card is a Switch/Maestro card, but I'm not sure if Maestro can be used in e-commerce.
Enabeling Switch for such a short period wouldnt be viable if they had to convert to Maestro. I don't know all the details of Maestro, but maybe I can use it as a mastercard, dunno. Any of you out there know anything about the Maestro mastercard standard?
