View Full Version : A very odd coincedence

I just checked Emerald, Werner and Konried and TR controlled Ceryshen, Ishundar, Forseral and Searhus on all three servers, despite the fact that TR was outnumbered on all of them, in some cases drastically. I was on Konried when there were 5 TR in sanc and through hours of being severely underpopulated no enemy tried to take those continents.
Bug or conspiracy?

I wish we could get some decent fights going on Searhus more often. It has a great lattice, and fun terrain.

That's usually the case on Markov as well. The server population has gotten so low that we typically only fight on one continent at a time so we can maximize our population and actually have some big fights. People want to fight and have fun. No reason to protect your home continents any more. This allows small groups of sometimes one or two individuals to grab whole continents by themselves. I've seen it happen every night for a few weeks now.

Population has been very weak. I was playing yesterday afternoon on Emerald as a Terran. I forget which continent we were on but there was a nice three way battle with all the empires we were on. The battle was for the last two bases on the continent. AFter about an hour or so the Terrans were able to win the battle. When deciding where to go next another continent was mentionned but the reports came back that NC were zerging the continent in huge numbers. We went there but died about ten times in ten minutes. All the other continents were quiet ... so ... time to log off and play America's Army.
The populations have been very low and there is never more than one continent to fight on. I for one have not bought CC yet because I don't know if it is worth getting. My cousin and I play on the same account and that is the only reason we still keep the subscription going. Has anybody else felt the same way about the paucity of fighting out there?

The low populations are worriesom but I still manage to find fights every night so I plan on keeping my account for as long as the game remains fun.

I never have trouble with low populations, you folks are just playing at off peak hours. Instead of playing in the afternoon when nobody plays, play at night when everyone does. I never have trouble finding a battle at that hour.

I whould say it has something to do with the 4 shot kill MCG myself, but thats just me.

Jackhammer has a 2 shot kill. SO you guys should be rolling over us.
Its amazing how blind each side is to the other sides weapons.

You also play on Emerald Hamma. That's the most populated server. I also have no problems finding battles, but Markov has been really dropping and there's only ever one continent with enough people to really have a big fight. The smaller fights are fun also, but when you don't have a lot of time to play you tend to just head to where you know the action is.

As for that 4 shot mcg post, there have been a few times since BP that the NC has pushed us back to our warpgates, so don't go around posting that stuff :p

But the difrence is the range hamma thats my main complaint and it whouldnt even be as huge a complaint if in the same update as they beefed up the MCG they nerfed back the Jack. (it should be noted that I am not a heavy assault user, but i can feel the difrence on the battle field). Used to be with my medium assault as long as I engaged an enemy at range if they were a HA useri could generealy own them, however this no longer works facing MCG users, death is generaly instentanious. I dont fault them having a more effective HA at range just now it's sick.
LOL, I was on Emerald last night. I did a /who teams and it was TR 39% to the VS's 29%. Besides, its about time you guys did something. ;)
/edit The /who teams was fairly constant @ peak time and slowly dwindled down, thats when we started to take stuff back. But I do applaud you TR for a good job, first time I've ever seen Amerish red, ugh!

You should not be able to fire at range with a shotgun
Giving the McG a similar ttk to the JH at close range, and giving it a longer effective range is a mistake. The issue with the McG is the same as with Lasher 2.0. Both weapons were effective far beyond what should have been long range for the weapon class.
I generally try to stay out of these balance discussions, but I felt compelled to post in this one... odd.

I stay out of them too because nobody is ever right, its almost like debating religion or politics. It's all about how you see it.

Jesus fucking christ, ppl, quit whining about the HA, get a fucking sniper rifle or a tank, then you'll take out HA like that, use diff weapons in different situations,
Medium assault baby, heavy is for chumps. Well unless you're NC cause the Jackhammer is just too damn cool.
As for servers, because of my current work schedule I get most of my play time in the morning and lately I've been getting into some awesome fights on both Konreid and Markov (the main servers I play on). I think you guys are just having trouble picking the right continent or something, cause I've never had any trouble getting straight into some heavy action at pretty much any time of day. Are you in an outfit? Maybe that's your problem.
If not, you can also /who buddyname to see what continent they're on. I add CR5s to my buddy list (enemy ones too, if you can spot em and remember how to spell em before their buddies get you) so I can stalk them like that. It helps when I want to solo and am unsure where to go, or when my outfit is off resecuring undefended continents and I've got no patience for them.
Actually all the players that really know how to work it go infil ce ;)
What good is a McG to the enemy when your boomer is under their feet.
