Aliens vs Predator The movie!!!

Probally gonna suck (from the director of resident evil) (and hte plot is horrible) but you can damn well bet ima be the first in line to see it.

basically it involves the myans building pyramids for thier gods (aka the predators) yada..yada... every 1,000 years the predators send 5 teenage preds to earth to fight for thier lives (against aliens i guess) and those who live become men (you know rights of passage deal)

Why didn't they just take the plot of AVP2 and turn that into a movie? I just wanna make sure I've got this right. The aliens were on earth at some point. But despite the fact that they had no trouble mauling soldiers in the future when humans were equipped with advanced weaponry and communication/sensors equiment they somehow didn't wipe out every living thing on earth?

I'm confused.

Ummm, that's where the Predators come in. We don't know what time AVP is set in anyway, it could be after the Alien movies

I know, not enough info yet. But just judging from the basic premise of the movie and the fact that it's the same director who did Resident Evil (/shudder) I don't think I'll have any high hopes for this one :(

A way long time ago, I actually recieved a script for Alien Versus Predator, the movie from one of the huge fans on the game board. Was a huge script and was really pretty cool to read.

That was a computer ago, though. I sent it to my friend, so he may still have it. If he does, I'll make it avalible to anyone who wants it. (I don't believe that would be illegal)

But yeah, the movie is going to kick ass. I just wish they wouldn't call them "teenage" predators. Those Shruikens look cool.

I think they should stick with the book/comic storyline. The Pred's connsider humans and the aliens among some of the few species worth hunting In fact occasionaly they will "harvest" allien queens from their hives and keep them in storage while they hunt out the hive for sport, thend rop them on another planet and repeat the process. Supposedly they dont do this to intelligent species because eventualy they themselves might be worth huntable. Also the preds have been around a long time, they were on ancient earth (the comics hint they could have been the inspiration for more then a few oriental cultures visions of demons). By their own rules they only hunt with tech on a similar level to their prey. They arnt actualy sposed to go for the kill while cloaked and a few other things.

BTW. It's worth metioning that the script I have (had) is not the same used for this draft of the movie. My copy is on another planet (Jungle) that the predators are "seeding" with aliens for the hunt. Broken tusk and several other promenent predators from the book / comic series are also in.

It's intresting reading the scripts to ailiens written by william gibson. ALso in the comics at least eating a predators heart grants you swift healing and agelessless for a couple hundred years.
