Seriously. These things are hugely underrated.
TR were having a fight with VS on Ishundar. I was fighting down at Enkidu, and another fight was happening up at Irkalla, an Interlink. Enkidu is linked to Irkalla, so we had the radar enchancement.
This was great, seriously. We were trying to get the west tower (the tower far away from the base), and VS were flowing out of it. A LOT of cloakers were around, and I saw a lot of red dots. So I pull out my plasma nade (I don't have darklight) and they'll appear in green plasma, and I knock them out with my chaingun.
Ishundar also has a lot of hills, so I could tell if one was on the other side. I must have got like 200 kills last night because of this, because it gave us the advantage of being able to attack at every angle, since we could tell where they were.
These things are underrated. Seriously. And heaven for guys who don't want darklight.

I agree. My squad of three people were defending a base from at least ten TR, including MAXes.
We held them off for a while using guerrilla tactics, popping out from nowhere and blasting them in the back with shotguns. It was awesome, and we were getting 200-400 xp per kill. Finally a MAX got down into the base that we couln't kill and a bunch of people camped the tubes, but we still had fun.

Whats amazing is not many (if anyone) reguarly guards interlink or tech faclities.
When a major battle is going bad, someone like me likes to head over behind enemy lines and pull a few plugs.

i wont step foot in one as a cloaker. onto "insert name of random base that isnt interlink er..... um..... linked."

Dude, that is just not true! I know because I have tried it dozens and dozens of times over the past few weeks to see what all the fuss was about. They stop shooting about .5-1.5 seconds after you crouch. All you have to do to deal with Interlink Facilities is be cautious when entering them, make sure you know where the spitfires are, and crouch-walk across the courtyard. Once you're inside it's back to being a non-issue again.
Yes, it is harder than before. No, it is not game changing or insurmountable. Please, stop calling it the end of cloaking.

Im not calling it the end of cloacking, im calling it a pain. It alaways shoots at me when i start to move agian. Besides little things like this will neve keep me from cloacking, its my life.
Yeah and if you crouch walk they don't shoot you so why would you post and say that they do? They shoot if you stand up and start moving, but not if you stay crouched. I just don't understand why people keep saying they do!

People keep saying it because if a motion sensor is around, the turret fires on you untill you are dead, cloaked or not, moving or not, crouched or not.
It's just that that's not true either. Please go try it.

I just recently picked back up my Infiltrator character. A character that has been nothing but an infiltrator for 15 battle ranks. I know a thing or two about infiltration and when I say that turrets were killing people that werent moving and/or crouch walking because of the interlink you can bet your ass that is exactly what was happening.
Now it is possible that Sony put in a stealth fix for this when Core Combat was released or shortly after. I didnt start playing my Infil again till last weekend and didnt encounter this particular issue yet so I will be very happy if it was fixed. Therefore you shouldnt at all be supprised that loads of people keep saying this since
1)It was a fact that it was happening
2)Very well could have been stealth fixed since you sound so sure of it
I find it very annoying when important issues like this get fixed and it is not in the patch notes, but I will test this exact problem tonight to be totally sure

Yeah, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of it being a motion sensor?

Yeah, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of it being a motion sensor?Quite. Too bad SOE spends all of our subscription money on alienateing its customers. Since the last couple of patches, I've started playing Half-Life mods again, which I haden't played since I got Planetside.
