So when the CC stuff went live all my keymappings were wiped out as I am sure all yours were as well. No trouble. I reset them all and away we go.
I buy the CC expansion and install that and then all my keymappings are wiped out again. I try and remap them and they won't save.
Has anyone else exprienced this? Has anyone solved it?
HELP!

Just change your "speak" button to `/~ (its that stupid button to the left of the "1/!" key that no one ever uses)

I'd really prefer I could remap my keys so I can get re-load and health back on my mouse where they belong :)
The only reliable way I've found to get my keys set up is to edit the user____.lst files in the Planetside directory. Once you get it the way you want, copy the files over to My Documents or something to save your ass next time it erases your settings.

If you have a wheel mouse, map the TS to the wheel button, I find I hardly have my hand off the mouse while playing PS so is a handy location.

When they add an expansion or change keybindings they always patch the keybinding file. This is good and bad because it adds what they need but wipes your custom settings. You cant use your old one at this point because it would be re-patched.
Its a lose/lose situation lol - perhaps they should find a better way to store keybindings so the file doesent have to be replaced.

I'll try editing the file.
Hopefully it will save trhe new bindings.
My trouble, Hamma, is that I cannot save my key bindings in the game at all.

Talk to SOE about that one, make sure your file isnt read only.
I'm the same way with the ingame GUI. Every time I go to change something it says "Error, keymapping not saved" and I can do it over and over and it still won't accept anything.

Wow, you get an error message???
Does anyone know what I would call scrolling the mouse button up and what I would call scrolling it down in the usr______.lst files?
I used to use that for reload and health.
Thanks
I think it's MouseWheelUp and MouseWheelDown
