Do you drive in 1st or 3rd person mode? Why?

Usually third, because I like to see if I'm about to run over an enemy. It also helps from mowing friendlies down. Also, when swerving in-between trees it's handy too. I drive in first person when driving across a bridge though, because wise-guys like to mine the bridge. It also looks cooler in third person.

Camera locations are so borked you have to drive in third person. If you could see your finders, then you could do it in first-person.

If this thread were about real life, i would have to answer "Like Chelle". Chelle's driving is awesome, i wish i had a video camera to tote with me on trips in her car. Whenever she accelerates it's always pedal to the floor, getting thrown into the back of your seat type of acceleration. It owns, not to mention her speed limit is 85

If its anything on the ground I go in 3rdperson cept if its a basilisk in which ill do 1st if i see anything to kill.
When flying, however i always go 1st.
3rd person 99% of the time. If it's my Reaver or Basilisk I switch to 1st person when entering a "target rich environment." :D

Where's the "Both" option? Third person in generally better for just driving since it lets you see more but crappy for actually firing on targets since you can't see where you're aiming very well.

When i am gunning or driving somethig where i control the guns, its 1'st person, anything else is 3'rd

1st person becasue i can drive between very small gaps more easily and accuratley. Forest situations are a good example. In 3rd person, i would have my view obscured by foliage, but in 1st I can see at ground level. You can also look around you in 1st personn view.
As I'm bombing it along in my AMS I usualy bypass battles, keeping an eye on them my easily looking left/right with a move of the mouse.
If I get stuck on something I switch to 3rd.

My framerate sucks so i use 3rd person because i don't crash as much, the fps is better than 1st person so i use 3rd person because i get about 12 fps instead of about 3 fps + i don't even fight with vehicles(other than reaver)if i'm in a ground vehicle i either run or run over/kamakaise whatever is shooting.

I drive in 3rd person unless the vehicle has a gun for the driver or has hover ablities.
It's easier to drive a hover vehicle in 1st person than in 3rd

Almost always 1st person. It's pretty much impossible to operate a lightning without. ;P

I like looking out of the cockpit/drivers seat, so I almost always go first person.

Both. And with both hands on the wheel.
1st in air vehicles, 3rd on ground vehicles......

I use 3rd most of the time, unless I have a gun to fire.
