Don't get Home. I heard it's very user-friendly (read: dumbed down to attract rednecks and Mac users). You can't format without Microsoft's permission with Home.
I have XP Professional. I got it for...er...I'd like to use the 5th Amendment here.

I know, I know, home sucks, but its for clients, and most of them are rednecks and/or mac users, so its perfect.
If anybody can tell me their sources for OS's, that doesn't involve incrimenating themselves, please do. :)

Well if you work in retail any place that sells MS products, which if you sell systems and have your own business it probably counts. You can fill out a bunch of surveys and get MS products cheap. WindowsXP use to be there, not sure if it still is or not.

Anybody know if there is a way to just buy liscences? I keep building comps for fun and profit (mostly profit) and one of the things cutting into my profit margin the most is having to buy a copy of windows XP for 90 bucks a pop on each computer. Anybody know if there is a way to just buy the numbers needed for legit operation, but still using the same cd, and hopefully saving money?
:)

There is a way but i do not know how to go about that, its normaly done with companies with lots of computers so they don't have to buy so many disks as that 3$ - 5$ increase adds up.
EDIT vistit their website to see if you can find out i'd be interested in that tow as i do the same thing, but i think that selling computers with Windows on it without their consent (and royalty most likely) may be a violition of some kind of law, i remember seeing that somewere.

I kinda thought that, but as long as I manly do it small time, I don't think I'll get pinched. Oh well. ;)

Why cant you mention Code sources for bios?
Cant you mention the code for the 875 itself? the rest is just some programming. I though this was under the same category as Showing how to Over Clocking manually?
Edit:Cant you mention the code for the 875 itself?
ME: Der, Im funny arent I! :D
So when did they stop supporting that sorta thing. With the P1s?
And ive only seed the Home version for like 99$
Theres always Oem or :brow: "old junker" comps on Ebay or whatnot, that you can get it from. Just make sure they have the Hard copy with them.

Yes we have Longhorn, half the net does actually heh. We've had it for a while as we always annouce support for new MS products simultaneous with them at their launches like Titanium and Office 2003.
I haven't bothered with it yet as there is nothing really impressive in it yet. Use to be the MSDN stuff never registered with MS and you could install as much of it as you wanted, now the new stuff registers, crud.

Longhorn is in alpha testing there is no NDA about it or any thing like that, if he has it its perfectly leagal, its not like i want it or anything, would be way to much of a hassle
PS ait what the hell are you talking about you make no sence at all in this thread

If you know any college students, ask them to go to their campus book-store and get hooked up with their studend discount. Sometimes they get sweet deals.
