Should i avoid getting the Audigy 2 ZS platinum pro?

Has anyone noticed it has less connectors on the board than a normal Sound blaster card would?

Is the pro ok for gaming or would you want to get the regular ZS platinum?
Im not sure what there difference is. Does the Pro have all he same stuff as the regular platinum. Does the hub that comes with the Pro have all the same stuff as the internal thing that comes with the regular platinum?

And the regular platinum comes with games 8)lol. (has nothing to do with waht im asking)

Can't really say, I've been sick of Creative since the first live came out. Gimme the good old SB16 anyday. I have a live and an audigy and refuse to use them anymore, buggy pos. I am so glad onboard sound is decent now.

The normal Platinum is prolly excellent for games, just as good as the pro. The Pro is obviously geared towards audiophiles with very high end digital speakers. So it really depends on if you have a $200-$500 set of speakers to make the Pro worth it. If not, even the normal Platinum is really overkill for regular gaming.

the pro has this box thing that you put in a drive bay that has alot of extra connecters and such.

one thing that alot of peopl overlook in soundcards is that if you use on the proccesor has to use far less power on sound making you game faster. And the pro will use the least and give you better quality sound.

Here is a TGH review http://www6.tomshardware.com/video/200308211/index.html and http://www6.tomshardware.com/video/20031007/index.html

both of those are goin to be on my xmas list

Can you buy the part for hte regular platinum and hook it up to the pro card at the same time as its hub. Im not sure whre the hookup is for them on hte cards.

And I think the hub is external.

yeah i read a bit more into it, the platinum pro is acctualy external but has a card in witch it plugs into, and you can get a front bay for the others

I have Audigy platinum and it is very nice. I noticed a pretty big increase in sound quality and performance when compared to the on board card. I have the speakers for Dolby 5.1 and it works very nice now.
