Let us use logic!!!!11
Low bandwidth settings = less information being piped through = higher frames, correct?
Less features = Less stuff to render = higher frames, correct?
NOT IN THE WORLD OF PLANETSIDE!!!11
I set ALL of my settings to maximum, just dicking around. I /stats and see that I only suffered a 2 frame performance hit. So, I tweak it a little bit.
Now I run the game with medium particle effects, high texture res, low foilage density, bullet holes, skydome, detail mesh, and all that good stuff, with a moderatly low Draw distance, and BAM! I get a +10-15 bonus in my frames, as compared to when I was at low bandwidth settings.(I changed it to High, as I have DSL)
WTF?!
