Considering Spanish can be learned in two years at wich point you can write with almost no mistakes... and that french takes years and years and in the end you can't even write without errors... I'd be willing to say there is a big difference...
I know by experience... 12 years of french classes hurt... bad...
(I'm french canadian)
French is considered the second or third hardest language to learn... the first one being Japanese or Chinese I think... don't remember...

i thought it was english, japanese or chinese is just hard to read or write, english is the hardest to learn, like wat kind'uv language is one where u got two, to, and too, or their there, and they're, imagine some foreing kid trying to learn it.
napolean wasn't french, he was a cossak
the spanish have won a few battles, and lost some, the frech have never won, atleast with a french leader, the only time they ever won was during the french revolution, when they were fighting themselves, and the only time they've ever had a french government system banished from a country, was in france.

Are you an idiot...?
Hell I thought I was a moron till I met you.
English isnt the only language with Homonym's. In fact I'm sure english can't be as hard because you don't have to learn every rule that applies to every verb. I meant it.
Participe pass: On a mang des steaks! (We ate steaks..) Nor normally you would say Hey! The pronoun is plurial and the noun the verb refers to also is... So logicly the verb would be then be fixed to be plurial... BUT NOOOOOOOOO.
Because steaks is after ''mang" it stays the same! So when you try to fix up this participe pass doen with referrant "Have" you need to say: On a mang quoi? Des steaks after the verb thus it stays the same.
I could give you a shitload of them... like colors... composed color names never ever change... for some reason... colors who's names are oroginally an object don't either... except for like 6 of them and even there you have certain cases where the rule doesnt apply...
Beleive me... english is easy. Maybe not to you... but it is...

omg passe compose is do freakin easy dude
Imparfait is a biotch though trying first to understand how exactly to use it but then its easy
French is harder then english
english is one of the Easiest languages to learn speaking and understanding is a bit hard because it has so many variations, you cant compare an asian language to english though its alot more difficult
French did win wars with napoleon
Spanish can Naturally Dance good
French Can't to the same degree there not as bad as the germans but thats another story

Italian > *
It's pronounced close to Spanish and is written kind of like French.
Edit: And in regards to how hard English really is to learn, take a Linguistics course (as I currently am . . . stupid required course) and/or think on this quote:
"Colourless green ideas sleep furiously."

Is the quote supposed to be hard to read? To me it's not.

It's not supposed to be hard to read. Grammatically, it makes sense. Think about what it means. How can an idea have colours? How can it be colourless AND green? An idea doesn't sleep, and it sure as hell doesn't sleep furiously.
It's hard to learn English because our grammar system is quite complex, and sentences have to convey meaning. In another language, that sentence could make sense. In English, it doesn't.

Translated from russian?
Btw German = win

I'm not sure if it's been translated or how it's been translated.
We learned about it in my Linguistics course, which involved a movie where Chomsky talks about that sentence. I'm assuming it's as he meant it.
