LOTR: Return of the king

Don't know if this has already been posted, its also probably OFN but I was just wondering what you guys thought of the previus Lord of The Ring movies and what your expectations are for the newest one (Return of The King) Coming out this Christmas.

I hope it will have another great battle scene, lots of killing and fun stuff. :) I also hope the story still holds its own like the others. Overall I'm probably hoping for too much but so far I have yet to be dissapointed by niether the books or the movies.

Oh it will be great. I sort of wish they stuck to the book a little more but its understandable that to make a profit you have to change it around to have more action/love story elements. I also really hope they can get a liscence to make The Hobbit(see my name :P ) and the Silmarillion.

Apparently Peter Jackson reckons that the first 2 movies get their shit ruined by the third. It had 50% of the budget going into it, and is meant to be extremely good.

Peter Jackson fucked it all up IMHO.

First off, he leaves out the scouring of the shire and the death of Sauraman in ROTK.

Secondly, Liv Tyler and her Arwen... Can just die, okay?

Third, Boromir's Brother Faramir is defamed in the Two Towers, and thus Peter Jackson too, can just die.

I am a purist when it comes to Tolkein, and while I thoroughly enjoyed both LOTR and TTT, and llok foreward to ROTK, Peter Jackson sucks donkey dick for his version of the Trilogy.

Damn Vicc, you have a way in spoiling stuff without warnings doncha, but some of the things would either be just wierd in the movie, like thte dude with the yellow boots, name is evading me, and some other stuff, all in all, I think he did a pretty damned good job, coulda been done alot worse, and I mean ALOT.

Your thinking of Tom Bombadal(sp?). And you forgot GoldenBerry and Tom's mule/donkey whatever Fattylumpkin(sp?).

But I think Jackson�s' changes were good for the movie, but yes the books are better. The changes needed to be done for people that haven't and wouldn't read the books. I like Hamma don't care for fantasies with the exception of Tolkein's(sp?) writing. He makes it feel like real history if you ever read the books. I like that. I'm a fan of history.
