POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT. OOOOOOH, AHHHH

Okay. This was stolen directly from the other forums I browse. The most logical conclusion the the M:R movie yet.

The whole thing was a question of, "Can God create a rock so heavy he can't lift it."

1) The Architect is an OS
2) The Oracle is a program on the system that is capable of writing other programs. (God's strength)
3) Smith is an anti-virus
4) Neo is a virus created by the Oracle (the rock)
5) Each version of Neo that came before was a "ligther rock" that God (Smith) was able to lift with the world in general (the OS) going about it's business uneffected.
6) Programs on the sytem that don't have a purpose, are deleted.
7) Once Smith beat Neo, Smith had no purpose on the system (until the Oracle gets a bug up her ass and decides to write a virus again)
8) Smith, in his attempts to kill Neo (clean the virus) was deleting other programs (creating more smiths)
9) Once Smith devoured the Oracle, he had the key to destroy Neo.

And someone else thought this up? It makes some sence......though I got spoilled.....not like its the first time, I'm still adding up the pieces.

i think that the machine lord dude made neo a virus, and when smith took neo over he infected himself.

and then boom. big boom.

i'm pretty sure smith is meant to represent satan. (as neo sees him as a "fiery demon" or something. that's just what i've been told, i haven't seen it yet.)

I think smith is more like the virus, that took over the anti virus (The other agents), and is assimilating the matrix, that is why the machine leader needed Neo to stop him. Neo represents Jesus in some ways, or (the savior).

yeh, i think derfud is correct, smith is the virus is. self propagating and destoying for own goal.

Neo Anderson actually translates to New Son of God, so Neo is christ, and Smith, being his exact opposite , is the antichrist.

then whats the oracle? the architect?

Derfud's theory makes more sense, at least to me.

Another thing to think about is the Oracle representing the urge to change things while her opposite, the Architect, struggles to keep everything the same. I think people put a little too much emphasis on the architect's speech at the end of Reloaded. No one ever said he couldn't lie ;)

K now these thearys are confusing me.

I think Spees makes more sence than derfud, from the first movie remember when Smith was with Morpheus? He claimed he couldn't classifie him as a mamal, but a virus. Smith is part of the program, the white cells that cleans out the viruses. Nother reason why I think Neo is a virus.....hacking. Neo isn't apart of the system...well....he was....but he aint no more. He's the one that breaks all the rules.

I haven't seen Revolutions yet though.....so my theory isn't completed.

But since Smith gets Neos powers (Thats what i heard), Smith becomes the Virus/anti virus also......or he already has in Reloaded (since he spreads to different bodys).

As i said, me need Rev. to conclude my theory.

well, smith was part of the program. He seperated himself after he was destroyed by neo in the first movie. Then he started duplicate himself, which is actually a characteristic of a virus, which confuses me.

Maybe Neo isn't a virus, but the anti-virus to smith.

BECAUSE Neo was in his body, which is why Smith acts lika virus. whatever went to his head in the first movie must of been the virus part of Neo.

And speaking of viruses....i got my brother's cold....now i'm sneezing all over the keyboard....

Or perhaps you're reading a bit too much into Smith's attempt to break Morpheus' will?

Maybe.....

I dunno, when your hacking into something, what would that be called? I would think it be the same thing as a virus....maybe i'm wrong.

Keep in mind that the Matrix is not strictly a parallel to Christianity. It incorporates many different philisophical ideas, questions, and religious themes.

Neo however is a parallel to Jesus or some sort of savior. Jesus suffered, died and went to hell before he was raised to eternal life (he ultimately triumphed over death). Jesus did this to save the souls of mankind. Neo fought Smith and died IN a type of hell, and his body was reverently carted off by the machines (he ultimately triumphed over Smith). He did this to save the lives of Zion.

I think the end fight was like the ragnarok, for those who don't know, it was in norse mythology, where all the gods would wage a giant war and herald the end of the world, think of it, Neo, good, Smith, Evil, world is coming apart around them, they know EXACtly what happens and HOW it happens, and Neo and all the smiths die , and all the people are released, so basically, that world ends.

the oracle said that smith and neo were opposites, negative and positive, just like she is with the architect, the architect fixed bugs and fixed the matrix by using his agents that served him and the system, while the oracle created problems in the matrix and aided the rebel humans. With Smith and Neo its very similar. In the first matrix, after neo became "the one", he destroyed smith by jumping and going into smith, which pretty much destroyed smith while he was an agent of the system. Smith can manipulate the matrix like neo can, by controlling other programs by sticking his hand into them, which overdominated that program with the smith virus. So we end up with neo being able to manually delete programs and smith being able to manually duplicate himself. Neo could probably use his jumping trick to destroy an individual smith, but he is outnumbered, so the only way for them to destroy each other is to combine themselves, positive and negative, which neutralized both of them. So when Neo became a smith he was connected to all the other smiths, and since he can delete programs he chose to destroy himself which would destroy the whole smith virus.

I didn't read any of these posts but I just needed to make a shoutout somewhere and this seems to be the place.
