What's your opinion of the usefulness of rexo?

I use rexo cause of the added inventory space. I can be an effective soldier as well as carry all the med and engy supplies I need to help my outfit and team. Agile just doesn't give me enough to carry everything including BANK, glue gun, med adapter, and CUD. Can carry all that with enough ammo and a REK with rexo.

Lots of guys are dependent on it, snipers for instance. So its more than useful. Just depends if you need it.

I can't justify spending 3 certs on it, and I'm BR17. I'm a sniper and a darn good one too (Konried knows). I don't use Rexo. Yeah the inventory is nice I guess, I could carry another med pack or two, and maybe some nades, maybe when I get enough to get CE I'll get reinforced, but for now agile is good enough for me.

Funny you should say this. Me and my outfit mate soulbradda both recently decided to go for heavy to try it out. Soul hates rexo and curses the 24hrs he's wasted on it. I disliked it at first but it's growing on me. It seems useful for those situations where you're guarding the back door with alot of firepower heaing your way, since it's extra space allows more medkits.

For now though, it's got to go. Medkits are ok, but you can't beat a medic.

Well for me at BR11, 3 cert points is a little steep to spend on a little extra space. I had to give uo my vehicle to try it out. THATS why I can live without it for now.

+ running around laying mines just doesn't seem to go so smoothly in a rexo.

re-exo = busted.

The SLOW speed is what deters me from it.

I'm NC, use a JH, and without speed, i really cant do shit outside due the the JH's small effective range (surge+re-exo is still slow, and draims a ton of stamina too).

I agree the space and option of 2nd weapon is very helpful, but Im not a surge monkey either. IMO you either shouldn't be able to use HA w/o rexo or you shouldn't be able to surge with a weapon out.

I'll second that. Surge needs to be fixed. Not all players can come to the advanced state of mind that wishes to avoid persecuting those with slower internet connections, but they should. If I have a good comp and internet connection (which I do), I certainly don't deserve an implant that further increases my chances against players who may be playing on 56k. The devs really need to step in here. It would fix Heavy Assault and a lot of the frustration felt by people with slower connections.

Flaw in the plan, this requires you to put your gun away or sacrafice your primary killing power. So it either makes you a target or a joke.

Jammers are practically usless, even for an Infiltrator. using them in a fight = lose and EMP blast works fine on towers

Im thinking your right, making rexo a prerequisite for HA is a lot of certs just to carry a mcg/noobhammer/lasher.

i think the only times rexo is useful is for manning the walls on defense or for phx whoring from a tower or something so u can load up 2 phx and all ammo

I have two characters, one with reinforced and one without. The Rexo is a must for anyone with special assault or sniping but heavy assault, max specialists, and vehicle specialist can get away without using one.

Yeah I don't see how heavy assault plays into the Rexo cert at all. Special assault, on the other hand goes with it like pimps and hoes. Between a sweeper, decimator, thumper and cycler/guass/pulsar you can have a couplefew favourites to handle any and all combat situations.

I could not live withot my rexo....I mean close combat i use the sweaper and i use the guass for long..and i can only carry both of at the same time in rexo

I can't like without my exo suit. i'm an SA junkie, but I use my Cycler and Sweeper also. I need it because I love having two weapons and more ammo.

I agree. There needs to be some sort of barrier between HA surge and agile. Perhaps equipping HA would make you run even slower than a normal weapon? (Jackhammer is a fat gun, and MCG looks like it weighs a ton, lasher...maybe they could lower its damage/RoF and make it run normal speed, since speed is the VS high point)

The MCG is far and away the least ammo-conservative weapon. It might be plausible for Jackhammer and Lasher guys to use Agile and carry enough ammo, but in my Agile loadouts, I only carry one box of 50 bullets extra because I want to carry a ND and a Decimator/Striker/whatever. I really think ammo boxes should hold 100 bullets. Just my opinion though.
