How much is it a month? They do still charge a monthly fee don't they? That's one reason I haven't got one yet.

I think you can pay a one time fee of like $400. Or $20 a month. It may have changed

Hey Hamma,

I have a question about DirecTV, how fast does it change channels? I know with Comcast Digital Cable it is a good 1.5-2 seconds to change channels... That doesn't sound like a lot, but when flipping channels it is painful!

From what I can tell the rate at how fast the channel change depends on the digital box you have. My dad use to have an old RCA one when DirectTV first came out and it was slow as all hell....got a new Sony one and its lighting quick....almost no delay.

DirecTV is about 1/2 to one second lag time when changing channels.
