As far as I can see, most people that are into driving want to drive galaxies. I can definitley understand this they seem really cool and from what I have read, there are not any real drawbacks compared to a sunderer for example. But this makes me a bit worried. The fact that there seems to be few/no things a sunderer can do better than a galaxy, why would anyone drive them? That, combined with the fact that there are many more different ground vehicles than air vehicles suggests to em that the developers intend to have fewer air than ground vehicles in the game. This might be done by reducing the number of bases where air vehicles can spawn and/or having them spawn with longer time intervals.
Have anyone heard anything about this?

There was a good thread about this about a week ago. The conclusion was that there are indeed good uses for the Sunderer, and in many cases it can be preferrable to the Galaxy. While I plan to take thge Gal cert first, but I'll definately go back for one of the ground APCs.

From what I've heard, you cannot get a galaxy from just any base, where as the ground transports you can get from any. I can't remember exactly where you get Galaxies from , but If I can find it, I'll post it.
Or if anyone else knows, then feel free to beat me to it :D

Thanks for your replies. I will look for that thread about the air/ground vehicle discussion. I am trying to decide for myself if I should go for ground or air certs first. Right now I am leaning toward staying on the ground.

also cant one of the APC's go underwater for a short time? The only way you can go underwater in a galaxy is if Hamma is flying

I'm pretty sure the Deliverer is the water capable one. I had imagined it going on top of the water though . . .
