Mornin' everyone.

I hope your morning is going better than mine. I went out to my car and found everything in my armrest on my driver's seat. Odd I thought to myself. Then I noticed an empty carton of cigarettes on my passenger seat. I also noticed my glove box was open and there was no carton inside or rather that the empty carton on the seat was in fact the carton that should be in the glove box. I checked to see if my CDs were still tucked in and sure enough they were gone. So in addition to almost an entire carton of cigs they got Disturbed (Believe), the Kill Bill Soundtrack, Likin Park (Meteora), the case for Trapt (it was in my CD player at the time so they missed that) and the Cowboy Beebop OST.

Now honestly for the most part it's not even that big of a deal to me. I mean it's only 4 CDs, I can replace most of them rather easily, can readily afford do do so and at least the CD player or the car itself wasn't stolen. But the Cowboy Beebop soundtack isn't even mine (it was borrowed from my little brother) which means in a way they ripped off my little borther as well. You just plain don't fucking do that. If anyone gets to rip off my little brother it's me or my older brother and that's fucking it! Now yes I will definately be replacing the Cowboy Beebop OST as soon as I can, but stores around here don't carry anime music so It's probably going to have to be special ordered which, again, knowing the stores around here will be 4-6 weeks before they get it in.

So this is for all the god damn worthless thieving excuse for shit-stains of the world:
Fuck you. Pray I never catch up to you.

*edit*
Oh shit. Now that I think about it, I think my sleeve case was in the glove box as well...

That's like 80 CDs.......

I hope you'll excuse me, I feel a strong urge to break some things now

That sucks. I hate people that pathetic.

Think about getting the police involved?

2003-11-17, 11:24 AM
Thought about it but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be able to do anything :( I do have a pair of 16 year old twins living across the street who think they're thugs (despite living in Fargo North Dakota and being white) and another kid about their age who lives a couple houses down with the same theory. I think I'll go for a walk past their cars when I get home and see if maybe they were stupid enough to leave something in plain sight.

I'd call my insurance company and see if this is something that's covered since I have full coverage, but I really doubt they cover CDs. I'd have to double check my policy but most insurances will cover if anything a stolen CD player but not CDs =\

Was it a forced entry or did your dumbshit self leave the door unlocked?

Happy lil Elf
2003-11-17, 12:20 PM
Well considering my doors always stay locked I'd say it was forced. There's no obvious evidence of break in like a broken window but I can't recall ever forgetting to lock my car, in fact I'm usually too cautious. I can't tell you how many times I've locked my keys in my car (started carrying a door key in my wallet because of it in fact :p ). In the end I can't say for sure however. Keyless entry means I don't actually physically unlock the car to get in so I have no way to say for sure.

Oh and, Gunslinger? Now would not be the time to start a flame war with me. Really not in the mood, sweetie.

On the topic of theft I have had my computer stolen out of my friends car. I think the dumbshit comment was moreso mis-directed anger.

I had my car broken into several times when I lived in Texas (YOU FUCKING SHITHOLE!). So I know exactly how it feels. Cops really don't do anything for you. They just take a report.. doesn't even seem like they car. My suggestion is to wait a month and then put something valuable in your car, sit in the bushes with your gun and wait for the bastard to come back. Wait till after he breaks into your car, shoot him dead, and plant the a knife on him.

Just go out in black tights and fight crime!

So that it never happens to anyone else!

And this is exactly why I have my Car ALarm... it may go off on accident every now and again, but it would take a pretty brass pair to rifle through the 2 tons of CRAP in my car while it was going off.

All in all that sucks, if none of the CD's had cases then that means they're not gonna pawn'em... so if local thug parents are amiable just go up and ask if you can sheck their kids cd collection...

Hell make somethign up about seeing them snooping around and not wanting to involve the authoritys!

Give me a car battery and a pair of jumpers. Poof! Your car alarm sensors are fragged. Yeah, it's that easy. :(

Sry to hear that Happy.

I had my Slalom bike stolen out of the back of my pickup one night. They broke the back window of the canopy out, cut the master lock that was on the lock cable, and broke the yakima locking mount off of the rail. On top of that they broke the locks on the beer windows and jacked my cd's, my stereo, my oakleys, and my phone charger. Oh, and they grabbed my bag that had all my biking shit in it, stank-ass shoes and all.

All in all, I lost about $5,000 dollars in that little incident.

Thank god I have good homeowners, they payed me for my loss. Now I got the noisiest fooking alarm in town which drives the neihbors absolutely insane. If only I could figure out how to shock people when they touch my rig....

Ahh soo, completely understand, Gun. If someone stole my computer....oh man would there be hell to pay.

And believe me MTX if I find the shitstick who took them he'll wish I'd just shoot him and get it over with. I will redefine the words evil and pain for this ass if I ever find him/her/it. Did you know that eyeballs are pressurized? If you poke them with, say, a red hot ice-pick they pop like minature water balloons. Or that a human being can only drink so much of his own blood before he will become violently sick?

Gun, I don't blame you

And actually my car does have a car alarm but it's either broken or they knew a way to bypass it because it never went off =\

With how little time it would have taken him to get the CDs though I wonder if even that would have deterred him. Just pop the glovebox, grab the ones tucked in the seat and he's gone >_<

And yeah I checked with the insurance company and my car insurance won't cover it. Since it was parked at my parents house when it happaned their homeowners may cover it, but there's no guarentee that they'd pay out and the premiums could be affected even if they don't pay out so I doubt that's going to be a vialbe route.

In the end it looks like I'm just out $900 in CDs.

I suppose your the type that doesnt DL music then. Last time I bought a CD was 7 years ago.

On a different note what are those boxes under ppls name, are they bad and if so what did I do to get one? (And how do I get more?)

S'why Im getting theft insurance for my car - I dont want all my pretty stuff lost for-eva.

Happy, Heres another little tip on the fragility of the human body - The soles of ones feet are highly susceptible to something blunt, say, a lead pipe. :D

_-Gunslinger-_

Would a semi truck tire count as something blunt? If so then I would have to disagree because I got my foot run over by a Semi and nothing broke (it swelled up alot though).

If you honestly think it's the kids at the end of the block, go ask around. Be forceful but not violent. If they think they're hood, you can prettymuch do anything short of threatening their lives and they won't do shit because of pride.

Sweet, Sputty. I appreciate it

As far as downlaoding music does I generally don't because up until a couple months ago I didn't have a burner and my CD player in my car has trouble playing burned CDs. I have a feeling I'm going to be getting the majority of them back through download though. I already paid for them once and I still have all the jewel cases so I even have proof that I bought them :p

On a brighter note KotOR comes out tmorrow for PC. I'll probably pick up a couple of them when I pick that up, most likely the ones that I was currently listening to (ones listed first in the original post).

Thieves suck. A few years ago my best fucking friend stole 8 Xbox games and 18 PC games from me , that's like, a shitload of money, and I only got a few of them back, he hid from me so I never got to kill him. :(

Well, filed a report with the police and was told that I had about 1 in 10000 chance of them finding anything. Meh oh well, better than nothing I suppose :p
