if anyone votes for episodes I or II they need to have a Jar Jar binks doll shoved down their throat

*Agrees*
Episode III had better be damn good to make up for those 2.

Episode 2 wasn't awful. It just needed to fix the jokosity that they made Yoda. Too many people laughed then......sigh....Too bad...Although the battle scenes were great and that's the main reason we wtch Star Wars. The love thing was necessary but badly done and annoying. Got in the way of the action. George Lucas is try too much stuff. Take away the computer! Then we'd get some great movies. Episode I was awufl. What were they thinking? Pick the dumbest actors ever for almost every part. Make every character always say jokes at the dumbest times. So annoying

Personally, I think they all stink, but I am guessing I'm in the minority. I just don't find SciFi/Fantasy-type movies all that appealing. It took me buying LOTR and almost stopping it 15 mins in, out of boredom, to finally enjoy a movie in the genre, and I still chose to see NARC rather that The Twin Towers on Friday.
It may be sacrilegious, but I wouldn't give you a nickel for any of the Star Wars movies.

Well, its a toughy. I love Star Wars, and always will, but ever since I saw the latest 2 installments, I vomit when I hear the words. The whole prequil thing is a very sad joke.
I voted for Empire, cuz the bad guys actually win :D
Plus, the biggest thing that pisses me off, is WHERE THE HELL ARE MY ORIGINALS ON DVD?! Is Lucas on crack? WE WANT DVD!
Anyone else with me on this?

And for the record, I hate Return of the Jedi. H8 H8 H8! The Ewoks are greater faggotry than even Jar Jar, and the Rebel Alliance Special Forces are more incompetent than even the lowliest of stormtroopers.
In order from best to worst, I place the SW films thus:
1. Empire Strikes Back
2. A New Hope
3. Attack of the Clones
4. Phantom Menace
5. Return of the Jedi

Bah! And you call your self a true starars fan thedarKforce! You left out the two movies that took place on Endor's forest moon, they had nothing to do with the series, but they were starwars, and your left them out.

wow, phantom menace ranked higher than return of the jedi? i agree with you about the ewoks, but at least they weren't CGI attepmting some sort of cross between Charlie Chaplin and Jerry Lewis with an accent, a la Jar Jar.

Also anyone who has read the books knows the last 2 movies are pootang. Cool effects but not starwars, they should have left boba fett alone, and the whole metaclorine thing is stupid.

Empire is by far the best one yet.
A New Hope is good for all of arguing between Leia, and Han Solo.
Jedi is good for the Vader/Skywalker Duel and the entire Tatoine segment at the begining. I think it's great how luke went from whiney little farm boy in A New Hope, to kick ass jedi in Return of the Jedi.
Episode 2 is good, yet lacking in the dialouge area.
Episode 1 is the worst travisty ever put on film, and there were far worce things in it the Jar Jar. Case in point "Annie". How in the hell do you call the man who will eventully kill of 98% of the Jedi "Annie"? I whole heartedly expected him to break into song and sing.....

But Unreg, don't forget that the best lightsaber duel was in Phantom Menace. If they hadn't killed Darth Maul off as quickly as they did, he would have surpassed vader as the coolest villain.

I agree that Mual had the best Saber Duel. That's the only reason I saw that moive 10 times in the theater. My budddy and I would go to the bar after work and then hit Star Wars (late so we missed all the gay parts) on the way home.

Darth Maul's death sucked big time though, i mean 2 on 1 for like 5 mins and not one slight hit on the guy, then in 5 secs some newbie jedi slashs him in half simply because he's pissed.

He got cocky and let his guard down for a second.
He had successfully defended against 2, he killed the master, and he had beaten up on Obiwan so that he was dangling down a shaft.
I would probably get a bit cocky too.

Why did maul have to die? WHY!?! :(
Phantom Menace sucked salmon balls compared to Return of the Jedi. Maul should have owned obiwan, doesnt the force alow you to sense the future after all?
Bah, a great trilogy has been perverted and distorted. The only way to recover from I and II is if the collapse of the Republic features new actors, big explosions, and some force-stangleings(Vaders signiture ability until Luke used it when geting into Jaba's place.)

Anikin has to turn into Darth Vader, and slaughter all of the Jedi forcing Yoda to go to Degoba, and Obi Wan to Tatoine to hide. I repeat the next film must kick enough ass to scare yoda into swamp life!!
The entire Jedi population save yoda and Obi Wan will be killed.

Darth Maul's death was necessary. So was not giving him many lines. In fact, if he would have died in a less ridiculous fashion the entire story arc would have been destroyed. Since the whole story is about the rise and fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker, you cannot outcool Darth Vader. Maul was about 30 seconds of screen time away from doing that as it is, can you imagine how much we wouldn't care about Vader if Maul was a driving character through the first three movies?

Darth Vader has been, and always will be the best movie bad guy.
The whole attempt at Making Darth Maul scary, ended up just making him look freakin retarded. Vader, as a bad guy, you KNEW he was a bad guy, you didn't have to just assume, he was. Maul had no background, no backstory, you never really saw him do anything Evil. Come on. With Vader, we saw him do all kinds of things.
Now, I guess im going into a whole new realm of nerdcore, but here is my opinion.
I read a few Star Wars novels, and I would have to say, that Shadows of the Empire, was a damn good book. It really makes out Vader to be a real badass. Sure, he was bad, but you never really saw him do much of anything with the lightsabre. Even in the original books, Vader is a badass, moreso than the movies. Back when they made the movies, they simply didn't have the technology to have a man inside a suit like that, and have him do any fancy tricks. Its neat to watch though, as the mvies progress, and Lucas gets more and more money, Vader and Luke progressively get more lightsabre stunts :D
So, I guess my point was that Maul sucks, and Vader could kick his ass:father:

The problem is that Anakin is a whiney, disrespectful, bratty little bitch. The audience is going to have a tough time associating with the character so his eventual fall from grace is going to fall flat.
The next movie will probably make a great action movie, but I wanted more than just action out of these movies. (I got more than action out of the origional three).
I can't really see a way that the third movie can make up for the first two. Any kind of love element is pretty much ruined because it was done so poorly in the second one. The only character that has been developed has been Anakin and it has been done poorly.
BTW, the origional three had a somewhat working, east meets west, philosophy thing going on. I feel like that sort of presenece has been lost.
The only thing I can hope for is a completely non-stop battle scene lasting 2 and a half hours.

Star wars can kiss my ass ! there so corny ! "I hate sand it gets everywhere not like here where everything is soft" (only line I remeber cuz it was so stupid) I liked the fifth one that was good but for some reason they can't leave those damn movies alone. They had to "remake" them. then all the kids are like DADDY DADDY I wanna spend 40 dollars on a couple of action figures.
Star wars should go away If no one knew about the 4-6 star wars and they saw number 1 and 2 they would say HEY that really was shitty lets hope it goes out the theaters. The only thing star wars has going for it is the hope that it might actaully be able to follow up on another. I can't stand it the acting is so bad and they always get a complete loser for the main role. I don't even know there names proves how stupid they are. Have you noticed that the none of the main role actors have gone off to do other movies?
What really makes me had star wars is the cults and nerds that dress up like characters to the movies. When episode 2 came out I saw it like a week after it did some people came dressed up and they were already reciting lines from it because they had obivously seen it 15 times already so we spent the rest of the time torturing them through out the film I don't remeber it to much except it caught my attention when the battle started.

I still maintain that the only reason Vader outshines Maul is that his character was developed over three movies and given major speaking parts in each one, whereas Darth Maul was given only a few scenes in an otherwise corny episode one and then was killed off with no further ado.
Darth Vader also had leadership of an army and navy, whereas Maul was given a couple droids that weren't worth a damn. Darth Vader was a boss in power while Darth maul was a henchman in the shadows. Vader was given a complex relationship with Luke, leia, Obi Wan, the Emporer and Yoda. Maul was barely allowed to speak to anyone but the emperor.
Despite all that, Darth Maul still comes close to taking the show on pure coolness. The character just wasn't developed, and it was only intended to be a minor presence.

In case you skipped the rest of my argument, use your imagination for a second: Think of the ubereffing potential of Darth Maul serving as right hand to Grand Admiral Thrawn. Emperor + Vader = pwnt///
