You heard it.

I'm NC, in Rexo usually, so I usually pull out my Gauss and sidestrafe in a circle around the enemy, while shooting him, because it makes it really hard to aim when you do that.

Once my clip empties, I usually, instead of reloading it, pull out a Plasma nade and chuck it towards them. After one full clip of Gauss, the nade usually kills them. Quite an effective strategy.

You?

I shoot them till they die. Then I shoot them some more. Then I do a little dance. :D

I usually try to find the closest cover availible. Sometimes if Im hiding behind a tree, and he tries to come around and kill me, I switch to 3rd person and keep strafing until he walks away, THEN I kill them.

Usually I sit there and hit "VVZ" over and over again.

Then after I die, I stop and wonder if I should have shot them before I started to do that.

I draw their fire, busting a few caps in his direction, until a squad mate, who has a rocklett or MCG, guns the unsuspecting victim down from the side or from behind. Teamwork is sooo satisfying.

In a zergfest I'll grab standard + surge and start zig-zagging/hopping all over the place with my MCG. Exploiting lag I know...

In a small battle I prefer toughness, since there is less lag. So I do my rexo + second wind + 9 medkits. Throw in a jump or two when fighting someone and its pretty easy to come out on top.

I pick a target and lob a few plasma nades from my Thumper, then run towards the victim, changing to my MCG and finish him off. By the tiime the nades hit, I'm on top of him, twatting him with my MCG, so it's like a double whammy effect.

run up to them, strafe while shooting with sweeper, then duck, switch to knife and finish them off :D

Strafing with a MA rifle doesn't work as well as with a HA weapon. If I'm outdoors with my gauss, I will crouch and single-tap fire at my target. If they are close enough to strafe around me, I will crouch, lead them, and use triple-shot short bursts. The only time I lose with my gauss is against an MCG up close, or plasma nades from an unknown direction. At anything over 10m and a target I can see, I will win with my gauss. It is the best weapon in the game.

Up close? Jackhammer all the way. One primary shot followed by a secondary shot will drop any infantry if you can aim and are close enough. Outside, which I don't recommend, circle strafe with primary fire. Surge is a MUST with the JH, or don't bother using it.

i like to free hand the sniper rifle, it just shows the person wat u can do with a rifle with one shot clip

For close range it's either boomers or some surge action with my scatter pistol.

Dancing around a HA user and owning them with a pistol is very satisfying.

My close range strategy is to avoid it when possible. :)

If I can't do that I usually go equipped with a Sweeper or Thumper. I try to never go head on if possible. I'd rather take some time to move behind or off to the side so they don't see me coming until I open fire. This goes the same when indoors. Move around the base until you can come up on them from behind. Surprise is the best weapon in the game.

I also like close combat in my Lightning. I love going on the offense and getting in close with the 12mm. I don't even fear Decimator users when doing this. They'll be lucky if they get one shot off before I gun them down. Withdraw, repair and repeat.

I run around in circles with mcg, if there is more then one I use surge. If they are hiding behind a tree I use 3rd person and they usually are healing or something and send me a hate tell, expecially when I say "YOUR BEST IS MY WORST" so yea.....

I use agile armor with the lasher or sweeper at all times while on foot so close range is ideal. Simply side strafing back and fourth at uneven intervals works best. Going all one direction, circling your oppoenent, is a bad idea. The idea of maintaining mobility while shooting is, though your accuracy is reduced, your opponent must constantly reacquire you inorder to hit you. Strafing in one direction gives you lesser accuracy, but makes you only marginally harder to hit against all but the newest players.

If I can get my hands on a jackhammer, I use standard armor. The added mobility + surge to get to point blank is well worth the trade off. If you have not tried this I suggest you do, it's quite effect if you practice at it.
