Ok i dont normaly do this but ill take the risk.
I have a upcomming paper soon and i would like anyhelp that i can get on it. I am just asking for guidence not for you to write my paper.
The paper is on Internet secuity (erm i think thats the spelling) and how the goverment effects it. Anything that the goverment does to effect internet security. I would be most abliged if you will point me in the right direction
Thank you to everyone who helps out.
(Btw its a 9 page paper for my college computer class) just incase you where wondering why i was doing this.

Ya i know about google and yahoo and mamma and all the other serches but im looking for info on this that people know off hand from hearing it on TV or seeing it..that kind of info you cant find on a serch engine

Internet security?
Look at the NSA here on Fort Meade... It's one of the leading American government agencies to have its fingers dipped in the 'net. It was one of the first government agencies of any kind to use the 'net for "information warfare". I don't even want to go any further, I'll let you figure it all out. You know that "rumor" about how if you type certain words on the net, it can trigger the government's attention on you?

Damnit, I was gona post the google smiley when i first read this thread....
I think the government abuses internet security by actually looking at the "secured" information.

Check this place out. (http://www.antionline.com) Read the articles and ask the guys on the forums. Should be able to help you out quite a bit. I haven't been there since they changed owners but it used to be good, hopefully it'll help ya.

What security? If your on the internet, and a hacker wants into your system, chances are, he's getting in, weither you like it or not. Only way aroud that is to unplug the modem.
Do you mean password security or not showing bad things to minors?
