In any case, don't use it on yourself. Save if you must. Do this by copying your USR file (I think) to somewhere else, doing whatever you want, and putting it in your user directory again.

I hacked a bank account. During the early missions you have to get financial info on people. WRITE DOWN THAT INFO! Later when you have the tools, you can hack it and take his money. I like to do it to the super-rich people. Once done, you buy the best of everything and have money left over for two more such computers, in my case.
