Is it legal and accepted to play someone else's account if they don't play any more? Just curious.

Well, I guess there's nothing wrong with it, cause you are still paying, right? If he is giving you the password and all there is nothing wrong with it.

WEll, i just looked through the trems and agrements, and they dont say you cant do it, or that you can do it, so, as long as your paying, i think you can.

If your paying for his account. If he is, well, I still don't think it's illegal.

Unless you are using them to run cheats, or go on a major grief quest, I'm sure you would get away with it. No harm, no foul.

Just don't tell SOE about it, you'd never have to find out.

No, I don't think it is. If he gives you permission, and the account is paid up to date, then SOE won't do anything to you or him. After all, he said you can use it. He gave you his password.

After all, if SOE doesn't get upset at someone paying for two accounts so that they can have characters on the same server on opposite sides of the war, how can they get mad if you play someone elses account?

Believe me, I asked them personally if having two accounts on the same server was a violation of the EULA, I was told No, it wasn't.

Coolness. I spent my first several months helping this guy (my friend) get cr5. The deal was he would help me get cr5 after he got it, but then he quit (he's got the ADD I guess). Playing his character will be reward enough.

edit: And many thanks for the replies.
