Everyone's got one. Please post a pic and basic info.
Pistol: Glock 21 .45 ACP, capacity 13 in magazine, one in chamber.
http://remtek.com/arms/glock/model/45/21/21.gif
Rifle: Heckler and Koch G3/SG-1. 7.62x51 NATO. Capacity 20+1. Rate of fire 600 RPM.
http://www.streetpro.com/usp/images/g3-sg1-1.jpg
Machine Gun/Kill every motherfucker in the room: GAU-8/A 30mm Multi-Barrel Cannon. The reason the 7.62 version (as seen in Predator) is called the 'Mini-Gun'. 4,200 rounds per minute of 30mm cannon shells. Seven barrels. Note the helmet for size comparison.

I don't want to post pictures.
The glock is pretty nice.
Personally I think I'll stick with my semi-auto .22 rifle. hehe.
If I can get my uncles pics of the cannons on the aircraft carrier he was stationed on I may post them.

The only gun I would ever want is a 50' long rail gun mounted on my roof so I could fire trans-atlantic mattress rounds into big ben.
Because, that just tickles my fancy.
Edit: Oh. Maybe a P90. Those are nice.

XM29 Objective Individual Combat Weapon (OICW)
The Objective Individual Combat Weapon (OICW) is the lethality element of the Land Warrior program. It is also planned to be fielded as a stand-alone system. The OICW, recently designated as XM29 by the US Army, is a developmental infantry weapon system that will revolutionize the close combat fight by substantially improving the infantry soldier's effectiveness. The XM29's unique, full-solution target acquisition/fire control system combined with precision 20mm air bursting ammunition provide a significant overmatch capability against today's threats, resulting in a dramatic increase in soldier survivability. The XM29 is one of the premier programs within the new Program Manager Soldier Weapons Office in the Program Executive Office Soldier Systems.
XM29 is an integral part of the Land Warrior system and, as such, will provide a tremendous enhancement in tactical and operational capability when fielded. The XM29 also is planned for introduction into the Objective Force as an individual system for both the Future Combat Soldier and the Objective Force Warrior. In the Objective Force, it will be linked to a networked battlefield environment, further benefiting the overall force capability.
OICW gives the infantry soldier a capability to acquire targets and precisely detonate an air bursting 20mm projectile approximately 1 meter over the threat. It can also detonate on impact. These capabilities are required out to ranges 23 times the existing M16/M4/M203 system, or up to 10 football fields. The system provides both an integrated day and night battlefield sight capability allowing effective weapon usage 24 hours a day.
The OICW fires the same round as an M16A2 with the lower barrel, 5.56 mm, and can fire in either a single shot or two-round burst. The upper barrel fires a 20 mm high-explosive air-bursting fragmentation round at a distance of more than half a mile away. A six-round magazine in the butt of the rifle holds the HE rounds. The 20 mm round has a dual warhead which makes it lethal on both sides and gives complete coverage when it explodes. The round is air-bursting, and explodes at 1.5 meters above the target. This works especially well if the enemy is hiding behind an object or is lying prone on the ground.

amen. I'll take anything that can fire rounds the size of a volkswagen.
Me and a few friends were talking about the logistics of such a weapon - This is a mere estimate, as we have no rock hard experimental evidence to prove this, but, we theorized that if you shot a light bulb out of the Rail gun with the length specified above, the friction, combined with the flimsiness of the materials a lightbulb is made with, would sublimate the lightbulb.
So, the guy standing at the end of the rail gun would be hit with a tungsten/glass/aluminum gaseous mixture, which we all found really amusing.
Have I mentioned my school is made entire out of geeks?

Handguns: Kimber .45
It beats the shit out of every handgun except maybe a .454 revolver. Nothing says loving like a .45. I own one and I would recommend it above all other handguns.
http://www.gggaz.com/dvc/images/Kimber.jpg
Rifles: Depends. I enjoy all manner of rifles and shotguns. My favorite shotgun is the Mossberg Model 590. My all-out rifle favorite is the Thompson 1927, aka "Tommy Gun". I fired this beast at my uncle's range and I have never had an experience like this before. Perhaps it's the images of Roaring Twenties gangsters. I want to get one, but money and finding one prohibit that.
http://world.guns.ru/smg/thompson1927_1.jpg
And since I'm in the Army and get to play with these... My favorite weapon of all time is the M240 Bravo, also known as the MAG-58 or FN-Mag. It's known as "The Worlds Most Reliable Machinegun" and there's an actual world record for this weapon being the most reliable. It's a bit heavy (at 24-ish pounds) for an infantry-portable weapon but the weak boys can stick with their peashooters. I'll carry this weapon anywhere. It fires 7.62, making it a medium machine gun.

Most certainly. Anything that uses combustion to propel mass is a firearm. That puts in Uncle Ed's ho-made blackpowder pistol, but leaves out paintball guns (CO2) and Rail guns.
ALSO: Good call Firefly. I think the whole 'ammo commonality' rationale for the M249 is BS. It fires fast- but that's it. No knockdown power.
