I have to read most of the chapters for Monday. It's so old it's in the public domain, so I'm reading it off of http://www.princeton.edu/~batke/moby/moby-1.html .It sucks ass. VERY redundant.

There are over 100 chapters. Thankfully, each is only like five pages.

Moby Dick over the intarweb?
Yes. The story is so old that it is no longer anyone's legal property, you can read it for free, put it on Kazaa, whatever you want.

I am getting fucking annoyed at the subliminal messages in Chapter 3:

"you haint no objections to sharing a harpooneer's blanket, have ye? I s'pose you are goin' a whalin', so you'd better get used to that sort of thing."

At one end a ruminating tar was still further adorning it with his jack-knife, stooping over and diligently working away at the space between his legs.

At any rate, I made up my mind that if it so turned out that we should sleep together, he must undress and get into bed before I did.

It was now about nine o'clock, and the room seeming almost supernaturally quiet after these orgies, I began to congratulate myself upon a little plan that had occurred to me just previous to the entrance of the seamen.

that he should soon become my shipmate (though but a sleeping-partner one)

how could I tell from what vile hole he had been coming?

Note: Some of these must be pronounced aloud, such as "The entrance of the seamen" and "He had been coming?"

I'll have a good look at him then, and perhaps we may become jolly good bedfellows after all

I wish I was faking this. Herman Melville is a fucking gay pervert.

and bagged it again in his grego pocket as carelessly as if he were a sportsman bagging a dead woodcock

"You gettee in," he added, motioning to me with his tomahawk, and throwing the clothes to one side.

NOTE: The other guy's name is Queequeg.

CHAPTER IV:

Upon waking next morning about daylight, I found Queequeg's arm thrown over me in the most loving and affectionate manner. You had almost thought I had been his wife.

it was only by the sense of weight and pressure that I could tell that Queequeg was hugging me.

and the sound of gay voices all over the house.

he still hugged me tightly, as though naught but death should part us

I've never liked him. Every single story he wrote had this sort of drab continuessness, almost like having an entire house painted cream or khaki. Sure, it goes with everything, but it's never anything original.

you do realize that many of the "perverted" words in there had far different meanings then than they do now, right?

Yes.

But the sheer frequency of them all...

NOTE: The word 'gay' as used to describe a homosexual came into being during the Victorian age in England- about 1900. So, these could be treated as double meanings.

Wha..? there is some greater conflict here, Spidey?

And I never said that the guy was gay....ok well maybe I did just a little. Oh all right, I said he's a fucking pervert. This was intended to be a joke, don't get all pissed about it.

I understand that in the old days things were different, blah blah blah. However, the word WAS invented in the 1900s...

100 chapters is nothing. I read books that are 1000+ pages. No big deal. As long as you like the book, that is. If you get a chance, try reading a book called "Sarum" I forget the author. It's a book about the history of Sarum, England from, the last Ice Age to I think just before the book was written. Not a bad book. But it's around 1400 pages. But I've never read Moby Dick. Didn't really interest me. There's many books I've not been asked to read for school, or read on my own. Catcher in the Rye is another I've not read.

I've recently finished reading Stephen King's "Christine" and it's pretty damn good. I don't simply read for pleasure. I read so that for those hours I can forget this world. Simple.

A: I'm not the kind of person who hates reading, either. I'm also currently reading Brave New World.

B: The test is Tuesday. Today is Sunday, 11:00 PM. Take out seven hours for school, maybe six for sleep (little sleep) and you can see there ain't much time to go on here.

Sarum is indeed a good book, long but good, nice how the familys turn out, it did bother me that the author seemed to like parring dirty old men with "budding" young girls.

Spider loves bringing back old posts from several months ago, helps him score points with the other .50 holders where he works, and the guys at the country club he now hangs out at. Reputation is very important to spider.

What the fuck are you smoking I didnt bring back any old topics you dumb fuck. To correct you on another subject I said the DEagle is my favorite gun and I only shot it twice at the shooting range. I own multiple weapons but you can only use 9mm's on security jobs. I'm not a gun expert but I know damn well a 9mm isnt a .50 cal. Heck I even asked some people if certain models were better got no awnser so I tested out at the shooting range.

Stop being a dumb fuck and get your ass out of your head .
