Just wondering how guys like Godjoey and the other kill leaders rack up so many kills. I mean im nothing more than an average player...My main is br 19 with 2100 and change kills....How do guys rack up that many kills? the numbers are quite staggering for an average player as myself. Lemme know what you think.

Lots of time + Combat Engineering + Surge + Heavy Assault + Reaver is the best guess I can make. Skill and exploitation are the two grey areas although I'm certain exploitation is very rare and I'd never accuse anyone unless I was sure, which hasn't happened in the months I've played.

When the game first came out GodJoey had a certain knack of getting cheap kills, like camping the spawn tubes of a given base or tower. Good tactic, but less than honorable, in my opinion.

The key element is playing a shitload. Being insanely good with a powerful weapon also helps, HA, Reaver, MBT gunner. Be aware of your surroundings, use third person view alot. Cert as a 1 man army, basic med and engy, AHack, specA, HA, Reaver. You could even lose AHack and grab AIMAX\AAMAX and Light Tank. Rexo is a waste of 3 certs (for most people) currently, and as a 1 man death dealing machine you need all the certs wrapped up in killing and keeping yourself alive. Carry medkits as they win fights, it is an instant 25hp. Did I mention playing a shitload?

I've squadded with Joey in the past, as far as I can tell he doesnt cheat, and i have never seen him exploit anything. He does camp spawns, but who cares? most people camp spawns. He uses pounder + reaver + infil + CE + good tactics
I heard he cheats like a mother fucker.......
That is just a stupid rumor someone made to explain his high number of kills.

It's no big secret. You need to play what some would say is an unhealthy amount of time every day. During that time, you maximize killspam opportunities and minimize non-killspam activities. For example, rocket-camping busy AMS's with Reavers, spawn-camping with Pounders, and mining zerg chokepoints are all prime spamkill opportunities. Guarding hacks, doing ANT runs, repairing and healing others are not.

As far as Godjoey goes i dont think he's a cheater. In my experience he's just very good at making sure he is outgunning the other guys. More offten then not i meet up with him in his pounder messing with respawning infantry in their standard armors. He has a nack for finding the base thats not the main respawning point but is the respawn point for those wishing to rearm with vehicles... that way he can sneak in realativly easily with his infl suit, hack at term, grab his pounder and wait for the guys to pour in.
He also seems to keep on the move. Ive killed him a couple of times tryin to sneak into a base to preform this tactic but he's wise enough to not try for the same trick twice. If you watch a battle he's in, on the kill screen, you'll see his name pop up either to kill or to have been killed and then u wont see it again unless u move on to another base.
If you want kills like that its all about placement but dont expect to get much respect for it as I agree that theres no honor in this.

Camping the tubes is a big one. Being skilled with heavy assault also helps. I've seen a friend of mine mow down 5-10 enemies at a time with the mini gun. I've seen skilled NC and VS go on rampages with their heavy assault weapons also.
I usually have a low kill count. I spent a lot of time taking out spitfires, mopping up mines, guarding hacks and protecting towers and bases with my burster though too.

77% of Godjoey's kills are people in standard armor, which means lots of spawn camping, ams hunting, and other such stuff.
I consider myself above average, but not great, and I'll tell you my secret. Its a few things:
1. Play until its instinct. Its like anyone that plays pro sports; you don't consciously think of your next move, you see the situation, and you just react the best way possible. I only get a couple hours a day unless its my day off, though.
2. Don't worry about your kill count. If you keep having your kill count on your mind, you aren't focusing on the killing itself. I kill so many more people when I just relax and get into the motions. I don't use advanced targeting because I know if I see someone with low health, I will overextend myself and get killed by a cloaker, or flanked.
3. Find a weapon you're really good with, and stick with it. I can guarantee over 5,000 of my kills is with a Gauss(which a lot of people say sucks).
4. Situational awareness. Try to realize what's really happening around you, and never lose focus of the big picture. In large battles, do not rush out ahead looking to kill(see point 2); you can rack up a lot of kills moving up with other infantry to cover your sides. They also give the enemy someone else to shoot at. Pick the right equipment for the job. Before I heal/repair, I look around with darklight, then audio amp is on the whole time until I'm finished.
5. When all else fails, gun for a Vanguard, Prowler, Magrider, or learn to be a good Reaver pilot.

Cheats were mostly bullied at school and subconciously use their hacks and cracks to get back at "society" by ruining games for others. It makes them feel big to own people they would cower from in person. The more you hate them more they relish the attention, the attention they were starved of in school.
You all remeber that person at school. The one in the corner of the year common room. The one that always got top marks in class, but never really got acknowledged for it. The one you felt sorry for and tried to talk to, but you gave up becasue you got the feeling their head was going to start revolving and they'd start shouting "redrum." The one that no matter what abuse was thrown at him, he'd just stare into space dreaming of the day he'd have the balls to get revenge.
But they never get the balls. Instead they sit in their darkened rooms chuckling as they kill gamers with their "Uber 1337 hax0ring". Until one day, they get arested for paedophila, necrophilia, rape, or grusome murder. Or if they're lucky, internet crimes such as hacking.

Some people are just recognition driven machines. I remember when I played StarCraft in Battlenet when it first came out. Your win/loss record was displayed by your name. I met a guy who had an obscene amount of wins (over 5,000) and 0 (zero) losses. I had no idea how someone could be so good until I did searches for him when he was logged on. He just made these lame 7 on 1 comp stomp games where its 7 players that build up quickly and rush 1 hapless computer player. They each get a win and make another game.
Now, youve got to figure that it takes about 6 minutes to complete one cycle of this. So for 5,000+ wins thats approximately 500 hours of mindless repetition. Why? The recognition of having the most wins and best win/loss ratio of all on Battlenet.
Dont know if I should admire the dedication or feel sympathy for an attention addict. LOL
My point here is some people can seemingly be very "impressive" and not have to hack or cheat.

My loadout was full of Boomers. I had my Gen Busting kit on me when we were assaulting a base. I had another CDL Spec Oper blow the gens as I headed for the spawn tubes. I'm rather quick laying my boomers down, so I had 6 laid out already, working on the final tube when 4 Terrans come to the spawn tube area. They were all hoping to camp the tubes. I lay one boomer down on the last tube and get a /tell What are you doing?. I reply I'm taking out the tubes. Then ppl started to shoot me, so I left and headed back down to the generator room. Sadly, we were jumped by a Vanu Lasher and died. Soon after that happened the Vanu started to come out of the spawn tubes to defend the base. We lost our advantage for the base and started to pull back.
Recognizing this, I /tell'd the person in the spawn tubes saying that I guess it wasn't a good idea to take out the tubes.

I find the bolt driver to be good for a lot of easy kills. Most of my kills are from sniping, and I'm sure that if you're more into infantry stuff than vehicles, you'd find a lot of success with this weapon.
I like those completely invented stats people are throwing out... 77% of his kills are against standard armor. Riiiiight. And you know this because....?
I get alot of kills from gunning outfitmates vanguards, piloting liberators and skeeter, and good ole fashioned sweeper/agile pwnage.
No HA, no spawncamps, playing a few hours a night.
Just do whatever your best at, kills are not the most important thing in the game. I am best at gunning, piloting, and surging. Those happen to get me lots of kills. Just do whatever you can to help your empire, and more importantly, to have fun.

I got rid of my HA on friday and i can say i'm a better man for it, better versatility and acctualy more kills because I can target form a decent range with the guass now. I just with there was some kind or Advanced version of MA like a buffed Gauss/Cycler/pulsar kind of like a Saw/light machinegun for accurate supression at range

To figure what the percentage of kills your getting for each item, go to your stats table in-game, add them all up. Then divide the number of kills you got for lets say, standard and divide by total. For instance, total of 100 kills, 77 of which are standard. Divide 77 by 100 and you get 77%

Why, I heard it from my cousin's father's nephew's uncle's former roommate.
Actually there was a screenshot of his kill total a couple months ago that was mentioned while he was trolling the OF. The number of standard armor kills was easily over 50% of his total. Someone mentioned the statistic 77%, so I figured it was safe to use.

Also, you can look up his stats of dicepoint.com. I think that's the place. It tells you anyone's kills against everything. what it doesn't tell you is their deaths.
That's what I miss from MOHAA, kill/death ratio

No. There is no way to see someone elses kill breakdown, on any website. The only place these staticists are available are through the player stats screen in-game. So you only know your own. The posting of the screenshot by him would have been the only way to find out.

GodJoey is a fairly decent player and the way he gets so many kills is by putting himself in favorable situations. For example, my outfit mates and I were getting the first hack on Ishundur when GodJoey and GodLake showed up in their reavers with a squad with them. GodJoey is like a lion in that he picks off the straglers and weak of the pack. He killed 3 or 4 of my squad members outside before I hoped into the back of my own mag and gunned both reavers down with main cannon. He did a very good job at staying away for a while from my mag cause he knew I could gun cause I hit him about 3 times while he was flying by, and going after the lone guy standing on the roof or the lone guy in the courtyard. Is he better than everyone else, of course not. I've seen way better. But he knows "winable" situations and uses them to his advantage. That is just good tactics.
His biggest downfall though is that he cares nothing about anything but kill count so you can use this to your advantage. We had an AMS out in this courtyard the entire time and he didn't engage it once. We ended up taking the base and killing him and the Huge enemy force he brought with him because we were able to keep our AMS long enough to keep respawning.
