Corporations are really cracking down on people illegaly down loading music. They just got the supreme court to allow the CD companies to create there own police force that the government has no jurisdiction over! This CD Police force doesn't have to abide by the law IE no warrant or anything. They don't have to read you your rights or charge you with a crime or fucking say anything before they dish out punishment.

This is real video footage obtained from one of CD police force raids which shows just how brutal the Corporations have become!

FOOTAGE OF CD POLICE HERE (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/riaa-psa.html)

Don't worry, I'm ready. All I have to do is go to the magic box, press the numbers, and I have full auto weapons ready.

Even though I don't rip.

Nice touch with Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" at the end.

And two of them are from Quebec. The British Illuminati is trying to boost the apparent population by using human-like robots. God only knows what the French Illuminati is using.

Canada gets its own RIAA

A REPORT from CTV says that a group representing Canada's songwriters will ask the Supreme Court to rule that Internet Service Providers also pay them royalties in regard to music file downloads, regardless of whether the ISP is transmitting legally or illegally downloaded music. This is on top of a levy on blank recording media that Canadians now pay.

The songwriters' group begs to differ arguing that by their action of caching files the ISP's are taking an active part in the download process and should thus be held partly responsible.
Apparently annual revenues of several million dollars are at stake here, not to mention the precedent it might set for other countries, especially those of the British Commonwealth.

The answer is simple. Don't download music illegally. What could be more simple than that? As they say, you do the crime, you do the time. So, to keep from doing the time, or paying the piper, don't do the crime.

True.

However, they are using extreme search methods, which theoretically could be "cruel and unusual punishment."

Actually, it seems to be more than "CAUP" It seems to be unconstitutional. But seems is a very loose word.

They can't randomly search houses for drugs, why should they be able to randomly search PC's for music?

The industries tack on to the cost of CDs and video games because of piracy. That's right: the people who actually wind up buying the music and games are paying for the pirate copies, whether or not someone pirates them (in the case of a lot of new bands and many video games, who the hell would want to?).

Control the corrupt record producers, not the poor schmucks who want to listen to music they can't afford.

Actually, I knew this. Which is why I hardly ever buy anything new in the way of CD's and DVD's If I can get it previously viewed, and it's still as good as new, then why not? I'm paying significantly less for a slightly used copy then I am for a never been opened copy. I have no problem with used DVD's or CD's. It's not like clothing, where you don't really know where it's been. Most people take care of CD's and DVD's.

Just a thought.
