Jeez, people think video games and tv shows are desencitizing, i say bah, if it werent for people like me, major organizations would be broke, im the customer, and the customer is always right handed, a person asked me if all the violence is affecting me, i said no, people who make up surveys like+- that should be shot, text based stratagy games are fun, its always nice to have a galaxy crumble between ur fingures, then smash it all around, and rule the universe, those who think they are dumb, can just go cry in their little hole alone, its a nice break from the action packed carnage of FPS, and RPG's, whice are les action packed, just more fun.

I've been playing for over a year, I've got about 1000 posts on the Nev forums, and I have 5 empires.
Favorite Empire- Darkfire Legionnaires, recently crippled by a large attack. Formerly a low level 5, now a level 2. (Ouch)

Biggest Empire- Darkfire Inc, a gift from my Faction Leader when my empire was destroyed in the Kizo-MadMan war. (I was in Kizo before Nimon got huge, in fact I was the fourth or so member) Level 5

Oldest Empire- Space Rangers Protectorate, level 3, used to be 4 but was attacked down to a level 1. Has rebuilt since then.

Others-
Darkfire Inferno Ops, level 3
Pirate's Haven, level 2

Anyway, Neveron is a Battletech based slow-paced empire building turn based strategy game with a mess of politics and a huge amount of giant shiny mechs thrown in for good measure..
If you need help, send a Diplomatic Relations treaty to me when you start an empire.

I'm not too aware of any text base strategy or rpg games online. I used to play in a 24/7 text war, in which I usually did pretty decent, but I forget what it was called. I stopped playing it because people would make large alliances, stock up on massive weapons, and then attack a small guy till he was destroyed. I felt that that was a pretty weak thing to do. The game's creater tried to cut that to a minimum, but it was still happening. It was a good game up until then. That was, oh, 3 or 4 years ago. I don't know if it's still operational. Rounds used to last for either 3 months, or 6 months before they reset the field. In any case, it was a good text based war strategy game, rather like "Axis and Allies"
