on konried today 12/03/03 the NC were 10 minutes from achieving the ultimate PS goal world domination unfortunetly SOE decided to stage a server maintainece just as we were capturing the last base, we had the hack on and 10 minutes away from completion but the server went down :(

In the end it came down to 8 VS, only one of whom had a vehicle (me - a lightning), against air-supported heavy armor, maxs, and infantry . . .

It was fun for a while, but the long drive in through the warpgate was getting annoying.

But we held out just long enough ;)

And Damn!!!! Only several hours earlier we were pushed off Amerish, Oshur, and all Home Continents were not ours. Good Job comming back.

From that pic, Wolf, it couldn't of been that hard to cap all the continents if there were 100+ posistions avalible on the last continent.

you guys put up a good scrap, i could hear the gun fire and explosions from outside as the infantry finished up the last of the defenders. i was the vanguard gunner, i wish i knew who that max on the roof was shooting at us i got a great shot on him smacked him in the head with my main gun.

grats to you guys, but this just doesn't happen at peak times when there are actually people playing. You guys probably had about 80% of the population or more. If there were only 8 VS, where were the Terrans at and why weren't they hacking their own bases? But good job anyway.

it took about 13 hours for every continent to be locked thats through peak hours. the terrans were kicked off amerish right before we got to ikanam. as we were in the process of taking the reddies last tower the barney's started attacking and disrupting us. seriously do you guys think all those continents were locked in 15 minutes?

Yea, it happened in 13 hours :rolleyes: . Your buddy I just quoted said that you basically had no continents during peak time. It happened cause everyone logged off at 4 am and there were more of you than them. This can happen in about 2 hours, I've seen it. All you need is 3/4 of the population and you run rampid through all the empty bases. with all the lattice links and no opposition, you can caputure a continent fully in an hour or less depending on where the LLUs are located on the map.

thanks for correcting your self and the "buddy" you quoted. if you would have looked at the days summery you would have seen the climb of bases captured by the NC over the night, you can see the stagnation and then the steady climb, then slowly see the NC creep across amerish. im glad you guys feel you have to shoot down any accomplishment anyone has made. maybe next time prior to lodging your foot in your mouth you should stop, and then think. how could it even be possible to capture all those continents in 2 hours?

I remember a long time ago we were in the same situation. There were was only 1 Enemy Continent Left, and then Amerish was a 3 Man War. The CR5s couldn't decide on a target so everyone was split up and spread too thin and we didn't dominate the world...

Please note I said that you got your majority of bases at 4 am. Not to diminish your accomplishment, but no one is playing at 4 am so even 20 more people on the NC mean you have a 20% increase in soldiers over the other 2 empires. And like I said before, there was no steady incline. The NC were holding steady at about 23% of the bases all night during peak and wasn't until 12 am they started getting any. I did look at the stats over the night, where do you think I got my numbers. But like people said, this rarely happens on Emerald where there is actually a small population even into the wee hours of the morning.

i'd say those numbers were pulled out of your rear. let me ask were you fighting on konried when it happened? i looked at the over view my self and saw a nice steady incline over a matter of hours not a spike but a steady incline.

I checked the base percentages on the main page for konried yesterday for the last 24 hours (meaning going back into tuesday afternoon through wednesday afternoon). That's where I got my percentages. And no, I wasn't playing on Konried, not enough people on it for me. I have a TR character on it, but its too hard to find battles. I mainly stick to Emerald just cause I like to find a fight every now and then. GG server merges :D Maybe you and I have different visions of what a "steady incline" is and what a "spike" is. I call a spike an increase of 25% over an hour or two because when we are ingaged in heavy battles on Emerald, we usually take 1 base about every hour or so (3 Hours on Cyssor, esp Gunuku :rolleyes: ) which is the difference in about 1-2%. Now I consider a "steady incline" about 1-5% every hour or two cause those are hard fought bases. I don't want this to turn into a flame fest so like I said before, good job on dominating the world.

On a side note, Last time I was feeling really good about the VS owning 7 continents on emerald about a week or two back at around 10 or 11 pm, I typed /who teams and found out we had 45% of the population. Kinda bursted my bubble really quick.
