Every time there is a patch SOE always adds someting with out saying a word about it. This time, it was explosions. Grenades now make big clouds of black smoke, this includes the Pounder. YEAH BABY!. Plasmas explode differently as well as Jammers. I think the new jammer explosion is pretty cool. The rocklet also makes clouds of fire & smoke when every rocklet explodes. The Striker emits a flame burst when it fires but it is VERY un-detailed and will still probably be fixed. The HART now has the same corny fire effect on the bottom of it when dropping.

Yea I saw some graphics tweaks - very nice. Those usually arent documented.
As for the gameplay issues, the vehicle timer being long wont be in live. And there were a few other bugs, nothing game stopping. Overall looks like it will be a good patch

This patch realy looks to be good, i haven had a chance to test it, but i might later. I just hope the FPS patch doen't make my FPS drop even more.

Its still not known if that was intentional or not, I think its BS :p
People have been using jammers on my tanks the past couple days. What a pain in the ass!

Yes, jammers take out enemy vehicle weapons, and it is truly annoying...

Maybe, it was part of the FPS improvement to lower CPU demands

According smoke a few interviews ago jammers are supposed to disable the weapons, it fluxates per patch for some reason though :ugh:

Found some interesting stuff, apparently, your not allowed to use your favorites to switch between the same armor (at least I couldn't), and it's annoying.
Ex. I have my rexo on, and I want to get more ammo for it by using the favorites tab, instead of clicking on the favorite, I now either have to use a fav. with a different armor, or switch armors.
There was something else I found but I forgot.

Check out the options now; there's settings for everything from automatic ranges indoors and outdoors to text color. Very cool.

nothing game stopping.
I don't know Hamma. Now Pounder grenades make a big cloud of smoke. I don't think this is just an effect, I think it is a bonus. Now when we spam those nades down hallways they DEFINETLY won't see a dang thing. The hall way will be nothing but black smoke.

After everyone got so PISSY when they listed a graphics change in the past, I can see why the devs left those graphics changes out.

Yes, but this also means the pounders wont see whats incoming, friend or foe...or where they are coming from. It has its ups and downs...

If they didn't fix Striker or Pounder, they're just blowing smoke anyway. A big smoke-trail will be a sign that says "guy wielding a completely worthless weapon system here, please kill". Pounder is only slightly less worthless, except when compared with Quasar and ScatterMAX, and then it's just pathetic.
:boohoo: <--- alright, alright

yeah, well, jammers disable all electrical equipment, so its logical

I don't think jammers should disable weapons on a vehicle that has any shields left. Also, a chaingun shouldn't be jammed if it's not an electronic component.

actually, if a jammer disables all electrical stuff, then that means the entire vehicle should stop, consider yoursleves lucky SOE didnt do THAT

they should stop the tanks parts that run on electronics only? bullets use gunpowder. So it should fuck up the COF/aiming system. and maybe the turet movement. htough it may be able to move depending on the tech they deam it uses. some modern tanks have engines that dont use electronics, atleast not for moving.

It should not disable vehicles at all, going up against one infantry and having him disable your entire vehicle sucks ass and its not fun.
Command EMP maybe, jammer nade no.

Yup, it's hard enough to fill your crew vehicle as it is without some lone joker shutting it down with one shot.

Nope. Jammers are a good thing. One tank could easily own an ams, now, someone throws a jammer on it and that ams has a chance to live. Being camped by tanks at a tower? Throw a jammer so that you can kill it.
Besides, if you're getting close enough to infantry with your tanks that they can jammer it, then you're not driving very smart. Learn to keep your distance when driving now.

Love the jammer nades, gives me chance to do something useull to a tank as infantry.

yeap jammers can be a pain the response when fighting infantry up close is to have a quick trigger finger. i've gotten many reddies and barney's right before they could throw the jammer at me usualy i hit them right after they jam me. if anything i get jammed i tell my driver to just put some distance and wait for it to pass.

Well, In a real war did tank drivers go right up next to the soldiers and run them over? NO. They kept their distance and blew shells in their direction. They don't want people throwing grenades IN their tank.
I think that the Jammer grenade upgrade was for the best.

Hamma, it gives Infantry at least a fighting chance...And it only lasts for about 7-9 seconds I think. They can also still drive so whats the problem?

Lets not forget that nearly EVERYthing that the VS have is electronic. Oh the carnage...
If it was 3 or 5 seconds or something, that would be alright. Then you couldn't just jammer and unload a couple decimators into the tank. You would need teammates to make the most of the situation.

Infantry should not have a fighting chance against a tank :p
