Unfortunetly I have experienced 3 clientside and 1 serverside crash today on Emerald, I used to never crash on Konried cept maybe 1 time a week. This is not cool.

it'll get better for you
I dunno, lag seems the same but Hossin crashed 3 times within 3 hours earlier.

i honestly don't see a good reason for the mergers. it seems like it is only causing problems and from the amount of people in one battle now, the lag will be even worse. i use cable and its bad enough but for a 56ker, it must truly suck. they don't look at the perspective of everyone. i'm telling you they don't care about the lot of us.

The majority of people that play an MMO generally have cable or better, because they got the cash to waste.

I have noticed that markov was alot more active today in the afternoon PST with almost 2 conts locked, while emerald didnt even have one cont locked and emerald took twice as long to load everything. The merge between johari and markov was a almost total success as far as im concerned but im not so sure the east coast servers should of been combined.

Emarld crashed so many times today, my squad had to abandon it and move to the westcoast. We would be playing fine, then bam, everyone would get that dreaded lost packet message.
Westcoast servers working great though. I think this was because we logged in at primetime for Emerald. Now with the huge population, we are getting server overload.
Also, has anyone noticed lag and stuttering increased? Did for me (and FPS went way down, almost 50% reduction).
I do like the new flying toaster.

why does the east coast server always have so much trouble? when the game went public, the east coast servers were constantly being brought down but i never saw the west coast servers even go down once. i may be mistaken on the west coast servers but even if they went down it is no where near the number of times that the east coast server went down.

i play on emerald, and i love the merger. as a tanker it benefits me more to see 100 enemy infantry on a cont instead of just 10 on the entire planet. the big battles just add much more fun and strategy for me theres something satisfying about battling over a base for 2 hours and finally taking from the initial fight over a tower and spawn point to the slow crawl and steady gain of ground to the control of the court yard. then the infantry takes over the base battle and hacking. it is just so great in my oppinion.
hell first day into emerald, me and my tank driver spawn on hossin our base is under heavy siege our court yard was completely taken by 4 or 5 mags lightnings reavers and moses not to mention heavy infantry trying to get into our front door. seeing all those vehicles i load up with a bank and jammers and proceed to fling jammers outside non-stop and healing my max buddies (this was a bio lab) as they fired outside. finally i dont know how but the vehicles and air cover was driven out and we proceeded to go on the offensive and sweep across the cont.
that shows in my oppinion a great possitive effect of the merger, i crashed twice but i'd sacrafise a few crashes over hours of battle and fun.

It's great and emerald seems to be getting more stable I played for 2 hours this morning. The entire time we were holding a tower and trying to take the next base, all the battling was going on between two towers.

Agree. Population is probably the problem. Would explain why the east coast has some problems around prime-time on Sat. Should be ok during the week though. Although, I will probably hang up any chance of playing during Christmas break (except maybe the late night hours).
Funny, but I do remember a certain promise about Battle Concentraition freeing up more "resources", so increased population would not be a problem.
Well, guess that Werner guy was right after all. :(

Considering the amount of data they probaby got this weekend- they will probably release some kind of stability patch this week.
