What would be a good expansion that people would actually use?

Below being the operative word. FIRST the developers need to put some kickass shit in the caverns. Lame-ass modules that have nothing I want, except maybe a shield module, are not the answer. Not many people like fucking around with ziplines, either. Especially when you can go faster by flying, rather than spending three times the normal walk-time by ziplines.
SECOND: "below" is the operative word. I'd like to see underwater bases. I hate sinking to the bottom when I fall in the water. I swim like a fish, and I should be able to move on the surface (use stamina to determine length of surface time with armor restrictions). Ergo, therefore, thus, and so...
The next expansion pack should FIRST be cheap in terms of cost, since thirty dollars was NOT worth a Flail and some deserted caverns that I hear people talk about. The next exansion pack should feature a few surface vessels such as patrol boats, gunboats, rubber raiding craft. It should feature perhaps a common-pool submersible vesse. It should feature perhaps an offshore weapons platform/NTU generator/airpad-equipped oil-rig-type facility. And it should feature an encapsulated base on the bottom of the ocean which can either be stand-alone (accessed by submersible) or by an elevator shaft that extends into the water from above-mentioned offshore surface station.
Said underwater base may be a knock-off of the warpgate, where the shield is impenetrable and perhaps even features a set of airlocks that must be hacked from the surface or by SCUBA-borne troops. Said base should actually have a purpose, unlike Corpse Combat caverns. For instance, a plant that generates energy due to hydro-electricity. These could be lattice-linked, making for a double failsafe (the lattice must be enabled AND the airlocks from surface).
And lastly, underwater weaponry. Weapons such as torpedos (dumbfire only, for all empires) and underwater assault rifles (something like a miniature railgun, compressed-air weapon, or even a caseless ammunition rapid-fire rotary cannon driven by pneumatic blowback tanks that are part of the SCUBA system?)
BARRING THAT, if that's too much of a hassle, I'd like to see a Weapons Pack. Empire-specific aircraft, empire-specific machine guns, more fixed-weaponry systems in bases and bunkers, etc.

Water, space, more underground stuff, air, multi-deminsional, Earth, mindless unimportant NPCs that we can mindlessly kill for shits and giggles that respawn after time, a subway-type system, weather that affects you (lightning strikes, hurricanes etc.)

I would love to see a space exspansion for PS. We can have space stations at our sancs, and have huge ships lift off into orbit.
Anyone ever heard of "Battlefleet Gothic" from games-workshop? This is what im imagining here. Each empire with thier own unique arsenal of battleships and other space cruisers.
They can have their own crew and shit like that.
You guys catch my drift?

In my experience Naval Warfare has been one of the more popular topics people wanted.. lets hope they go there first.

Before we start talking about the next expansion, I'd like them to sort out the existing one.
I'm at a loss at the moment as to how to get more people in the caverns.
My first thought is to integrate the geowarps into a big facility around the size of a dropship center. It makes sense. We found the geowarps, and now we reinforce them to defend them. It's a logical tactical step.
One the cavern is secured, perhaps it could lattice link to connected bases allowing turrets to be upgraded to ancient turrets. The GeoWarp Facilites themsleves cannot have modules installed due to GeoWarp interference, however it can gain from lattice benefits if you link another base and install the modules there.
Something along these lines: (yes its a crap pic, but i scribbled it up just now, and it's just to get a general layout idea across)

To get into the caverns you must first capture these facilities, however if the facility is captured, and you have facilites down in the caverns still, you can fight your way through.
Think of it, your base is hacked but you can keep the vehicles comming from undergorund. Just a few thoughts.

Other. It would have to be 2 man fighter aircraft, heavy assault tanks, maybe some ships and such, a way to get the cavern population up.

Naval combat would be the first on my list, but id also REALLLLY like to see a full fledged "Night". Like, nearly pitch black...not just a purple sky like we have now. I think night battles would be so cool. All you see is the muzzle flashes and bullets fly past your head. Would make a cloakers job even more tactical(night strikes where it would be VERY difficult to see them).
Just a thought...

Bonefied City combat. Not this crap core combat 'underground cities' which are not fun at all but streets and buildings and stuff like that with adataple terrain like in Red Faction. yea i know it would be a lag monster but it would be so cool. other than that id definatly like to see some naval combat (wet or dry navy, both would be cool).

I would first like to see more of a reason to go down to the caverns, then secondly would like to see underwater combat. Including surface gunships, transports and say scout type seadoos with basilisk weps. For underwater maybe submarines and scout type self-propelled vehicles, which could include a SCUBA cert? Maybe we could even swim as well?!

airships. big ass airships with the firepower of a modern day cruiser. think about it. as the battle rages on the ground, the empire specific airships pound the hell out of the ground forces, and each other. as fighters try to support them, other aireal torpedo equipped bombers try to knock them out of action. five hits and the airship goes down, killing everyone who was unfortunate enough to be in, or under it.
that would be my idea, however, Firefly's idea is good, too.

I agree with others in saying they need to fix CC first. After that, I would like to see:
1) space bases - because in space, no one can hear them whine! :)
2) naval battles - this would be cool assuming there is some sort of asset which needs naval resources to protect. I would love to see a small island continent (I'm thinking the Iwo Jima map from bf1942 or something like that)
3) city battles - give us some tactically different bases ie. multilevel buildings, etc
Whatever is chosen, we must have a good reason for using, unlike CC. It also must have good performance.

My personal opinion is to go with true city combat like some of the others have stated. I think that a continent should be added and that it should be a giant sprawling urban landscape. Instead of bases they could perhaps control zones of the city.
