I was wondering if the blast damage from grenades will pass through bodys or be blocked by them?
Basically I was wondering if a soldier could jump in front of a grenade and use his body to shield his teamates (like jumping on top of one if you could go prone, which I know you can't).

Heroics like taking a bullet for the team would be a great thing to see. I can picture this would probably work for the frag grenades but I'm not sure what would happen if you tried to block a plasma grenade, since fire would generally envelope you and work it's way around you.

Just a thought

Correct answer: Yes...avatars block those raycasts that determine splash damage results. So...if you can stand on a grenade, you can block a lot of damage to squadmates in the area.
Long story short...yes...you can be that John-Wayne-style hero if you so desire.

Probably not. I can't think of a multiplayer fps where you can move other players.

Urban Terror (Quake 3 mod) - you can give someone the boot by standing close to them and jumping while moving into them, you do some damage and knock back. :)

lol there is actually a button that pushes in rtcw as well. so you can stand at the top of a building and lets say there is lieutenant there who always hogs the ammo. woops <blah blah fell to his doom> and you get that well good screenshot of their giblets spred across the floor below to add to your collection lol
