"A standard grenade launcher, the Thumper can lob grenades up to medium range. It utilizes a special Arc Targeting System that 'paints' a small impact circle on the soldiers HUD, representing roughly where the grenade will land."
I've never seen this 'painted' area while using a thumper - And it would be most excellent if it did. Did the devs remove this, anyone else see this, or is my computer just suxx0ring?

argh, no more fking buffs to bloody SA. 3 certs for 3 weapons !
Every bloody newbie who shouldn't be anywhere near a slash damage weapon runs around spamming it regardless.
It would be a nice addition to the thumper tho.

No that was never even in beta.

Well, it's kinda a buff/nerf. Buff, in the sense that enemies with thumpers will now land more direct hits, and a nerf in the sense that st00pid n00bies wont spam regardless of the fact.
Actually, there should be a painted area of the weapons splash damage. If a friendly enters it - No firing the grenade. True, this would negate the use of a thumper indoors, but only people who spam plasma down stairways and n00bies use the thumper indoors anyways.

I hope it never gets implemented. Good thumper users get that way thru lots of practice and I always take that into consideration when I go up against one. I use a thumper probably 50% of the time and I like to think I'm an expert with it now. Being able to drop plasma on top of people at extreme range consistantly should be a skill you have to learn.
