Why must they make more consoles for people to waste even more money on? That thing will probably be worth the same or more than the X-Box when it came out which was too much. Computer is all you need in my opinion since its a combination of all consoles since you can hook up controllers, joysticks, download emulators, etc. More limitations with consoles.

This "super console" is boasting that it is the most powerful in the world.... well no Sh*t! Xbox, GCN, and PS2 have been out for 2-3 years (at least Ps2 has). Of course it is better. I have a PS2 and the only reason i got it was for for the madden games, Final Fanasties, Metal Gear, and Grand Turismo.... it may not be better than a PC but i feel more comfortable playing those game types on a console (well maybe not Final Fanasty). I'm with War Mongrel on this one..... just another console to blow money on..... I think the console craze here is just a phase.... the PC will live on forever. FYI sony has slated for a 2005 release PS3.... can't remember where I saw it but i'll find it and post it. My point for bringing that up is that these companies keep ratcheting out these NEW consoles before the one you just spent your life savings on is even dusty. It is rediculous.
Well age is a factor but it doesn't mean older consoles suck. The Dreamcast came out way before the next gens but was still pretty close to their league. :)

That dreamcast controller rofl. I wonder why companies insist on making such large controllers. Personally my fav is still the Playstation - fits well into the hand.

The idea behind the large controller is pretty simple (yet stupid at the same time). A larger controller would appeal more to larger hands, i.e - older gamers. Ages from mid teenaged males through late 20s.
But it never works.

To suit players like me. I hate the playstation controller with a passion(almost as much as the GC controller). I liked the Dreamcast controller.
My favorite controller of all time is the XBox's S controller.

I think console will fail must like the Dreamcast.
The Dreamcast only failed because too many peeps were ignorantly scared of it. They were all like "Hey the saturn suck and so does sega" and i was all like "No way man you're like totally wrong dude" then he was like "No" and i was like "Whatever " and then he was like all ....ummm anyway the Dreamcast was awesome, may it RIP.

My Dreamcast spinner stoped after 6 months. What a piece of shit. Their online sucked ass also. You had to pay Sage $20 or something like that to have their dial-up. You couldn't just dial into the game.
PS2 had the best controllers IMO. Although I really liked N64's for FPS's.

Ummm my DC is still working, maybe you shouldn't use it as a console/coaster/hockey puck. And the only online game you had to pay for was PSO(EXCELLENT game) and it was 10$ for 3 months if i remember correctly. :)

Dreamcast was badass. I didn't buy one till the system was well dead. I love that lcd in the controller, football games were great with that.

I still have my Nintendo, not Super Nintendo, or N64, but Nintendo. Not even the good ones that took the game in the top, but the first ones that took the game like a VCR. It still works... after about an hour of messing with the game.
But I called DC to find out how to play games online, they told me I had to pay for their dial-up to play the games. It was alot more than $10 for 3 months also. Back when online cd that came with DC worked and you didn't have call and get the other one.
Well the guy probably didn't understand what you meant and told you the price to sign up for seganet(the ISP for Dreamcast) but if you already had an ISP you just needed the game, PSO was the only PtP game. :)
