I'm interested in how many of you have a fulltime job.
When I read this forum I get the impression that a lot of you guys are either unimployed (no offence meant), still go to school or don't have a girlfriend/wife.
I'm happy to get in 2 hours of PS after work every second/third day without getting shit from my girlfriend for not spending time with her!

When I see people talking about being online 7+ hours a day, my first thought is DamnLuckyBastard.
My second thought is PoorWeirdoWithoutAnyOtherLifeOutsideOfPS.
And my final thought is WhyTheHellDidntThisGameExistWhenIWasAStudentAndICo uldHavePlayedPS7+HoursADayToo?????

OK, enough self-pity for now.
I think I'll just take half a day off from work to get in some additional hours of PlanetSide :D

US Army for over nine years (more than full-time, try 24-7). Have a woman. Drink a lot of beer. Kick a lot of ass. Play Planetside and frequent forums frequently.

Got a problem with it?

Full time job, married, 2 kids. I pretty much play 3-4 days each week for 2-3 hours after everybody else has gone to bed (starting at 9 or so).

When I had the time I was rotting my brain playing MUDs or Meridian 59 while in college, usually putting in as much time as the worst of 'em.

A technician at uni overheard me and a class m8 talking about halo and said
"How do you guy find the time to play all these games? I always see you here working."

I haven't laughed so much in my life

How many unemployed gamers would be playing a game that you have to pay for monthly??

Full-time job, live with my girlfriend, and I play maybe 6-8 hours a week (most of it on Sundays when she works!) I also post here during downtime at work. If only my work PC had a decent video card.... ;)

Merry chrismas elf! :(

Women.... :rolleyes:Long story but actually it's what I was hoping for. I even managed to get her to break it off with me. Had I been the one to end the relationship it probably wouldn't have been pretty since as you may have noticed I have a tendancy to be rather blunt. Hopefully this way she's spared at least some of the sadness that inevitably comes at the end of any lengthy relationship.

"hang on guys somone's at the door, afk a sec"

An enlisted pilot? The training for those ended in 1942, when they switched to officers. A chick would have to be pretty dumb to buy that! ... Oh wait. :D

I am in the last year of my 24 years in the military (in one form or fashion) at the end of which I plan on retiring and donning the classic Old Fart hat with the button that says "RETIRED" on it. After that I am pursuing a full time career in gaming.

Actually I may be pursuing a Master's degree if I can get myself to do it. Mrs. Mani says I have to find another job as well after I retire. Hmmm. "Hi! Welcome to Wal-Mart!" ;)

VP/part owner of a consulting firm (small though), sitting for the Oregon Bar exam in Feb, married, no kids.

edit: To play a game with a fee, you need either (1) a job, or (2) someone to give you cash. So...I'm betting most of us that actually play work.

I work at a job that lets me play on the internet for five hours a night. Not work, mind you. Play. Video poker, PlanetSide, NetHack, you name it. The pay sucks, but it keeps me sane.

I'm probably one of the few people in the world who can get bored on the internet.

I don't know about that... My manager job is a work-study job. Great for the resume, but also extremely boring. I have actually found times where I really don't have anything to do online and actually do my homework!
