Well, probably none of you remember from back in the beta days, but here I am again. Basicly because I'm about to finish downloading the 30 day trial of planetside and if it's improved enough since release I might pick it up.

So basicly I want to know what makes the game better now than it was at release (yes, I've already read the version history on the official site). What is your favorite new feature? How is the population density of the servers?

Also, what advise would you give to somebody that's noob again. At least in relation to anything that's changed since release.

If you're in the uk, buy CC now if you want a DVD boxed version rather than a download, before it's sold out. I don't think ubisoft will be publishing anymore of that money sink hole.

If you don't want a boxed version, don't buy it yet.

Go through VR and try all the new weapons out for all the empires and find what you like better.

I did the same thing Cyanide. Was in beta.. decided against purchase and have been using the trial. I'll tell ya one thing, the first thing I notice that was totally different is the constant HART usage. No more Get Squad, Get Gal, Get Going. I think I've been on a Gal like once in the 3 weeks I've played. Nowadays its, "Need help on Easimir! Drop at this base"

But ya know what, asside from modules, I don't really see much of a difference. Lots more NC, The LLU thing is cool... but still just hack and move, hack and move. Tho I'm not in an outfit and I hear that makes all the difference.

:( That sounds bad to me. Are you saying that now it's just a constant zerg drop every 5 minutes? Are squads non-essential now?

BTW, from what I saw in game last night, I definately won't be buying core combat if I do decide to stick with the game.

Oh no no, Squads are still there and the platoon thing deffinetly works. Its just that waiting in the sanc to get a squad then moving out all at once doesn't really happen. Pick up squads happen in the field and people just kinda shout out where they need people. Or the CR5's global for help. I think if you want to not move with the zerg you really need the whole Outfit thing. Tho I've been reluctant to join one since I'm probly only gonna be on for the month trial.
