See halfway down first page, compared those little dudes to TR maxes... however I think those little guys are more deadly with their fans than dual cyclers.

they don't just dance. you know those "AIBO" robot dogs they make? well, these are the next gen. i forget their name, but they do all the shit that "AIBO" could, and more. however, they cost over 10,000 dollars a piece. hell, if i had that kinda money, i'd build one of those APUs from the Matrix. stick a couple Ma-Duces on it, then take a trip to the shootin' range....at Fort Rucker.
What the fuck?!

no purpose, but those robots are just to show off what the robots can really do. although it may not look THAT impressive to us, if you understood the complexity and motor control needed by something to do something like that, you'd be impressed.

gyroscopes, complex computers, gas pumps operating the joints, programing all those movements while at the same time keeping them balanced. ect

gyroscopes, complex computers, gas pumps operating the joints, programing all those movements while at the same time keeping them balanced. ect
and why? because these things can obviously do very complex but smooth activities, coordinated with digital precision between each other.
more precise than humans, 25% the size, stronger, and all that in high-radiation/heat/pressure 0-oxygen environments.

is that supposed to be Lena? from BGC? hardsuit. well whatever, anyways, currently computers are at least a century away from even coming close to human inteligence, and they may be able to recal information in an instant, but they cant yet currently think on their own, or come up with original thoughts.

Not it they were given weppons, he would own your ass so hard. Very accurate robots are. You could prabably give that little guy a DesetEagle thats been modified so it has a mini stock, or make him bigger and give him two Saws mounted on his/hers/its forearms try steping on that. he could shoot 500 round though the same whole in your head.

it's a FunkTroop from U.F.O.
as for A.I., we've gone from vaccum-tube based, 5 MegaByte Computers the size of a small house to transistor-based, 80 Gigabyte, integrated circut computers the size of a HAM radio in under sixty years. many of that progress has been made during the last twenty years. right now, we have this. in ten years, we'll have so much more. they're already working on robo mechanics for the space station. they have this foot-plug thingamawhoosits that anchors it to the station while it fixes what needs fixing. but you're right, a truly self-aware mechanical being is far off. as for robosoldiers, although a robot is indeed the perfect soldier, it i am truly against it. i refuse to waste my ammunition and disgrace my weapons by slaying mindless automatons. however, as supplimental units, indeed a squad synthetic would be a true asset to any small unit. outfit is with a light machinegun, bolt a comm suite on it, a satalite antenne, feild radio, and enough prosessing power to hold all the information relevant to the mission. perhaps makie it in the form of a mattracked ATV? so it becomes sort of a packmule as well?
wait. what the hell was i talking about?
@r3d: OH NO! VERILY, I HATH BEEN PWNED!
@rbstr: no, he can't. unless the weapon was incredibly accurate, and was fired under ideal, predictable conditions. if there's so much as a breeze, the second shot would be off by millimeters.
